Hey gents, had this exact same issue. And yes, as a 6 year member of service select, for use with rigging and Braceworks license holder (in other words I’ve spent a lot of money with VW and used it a lot) I share the grievances with the new work flows of the new hoist tool. Seems the integration department is lacking on real world knowledge of what a “professional production rigger” does and how we actually use the program, because normal flow operations have become increasingly difficult, and my team has either defaulted to using the legacy hoists as well, or adding a ton of custom data tags and reports to be able to get a return on our information or properly display our data to other departments and ourselves. Okay the fix we found for this- In the worksheet window, File>export worksheet change the format to csv this gets feet and inch dimensions as an export. ***** We tried everything involving changing the format of the cells to text etc but somehow the data inside the worksheet is in decimal form and converts only in the display. The csv file fixed it for us.

Hello there! So, I am looking for a way to take multiple selected objects or symbols, and convert them to the PLUGIN hoist symbol. I can easily achieve this with either loci points (or autocad points I am trying to convert, which is what spurred this process trying to convert all hoists instead of click on one at a time) and replace them with the hoist symbol, it just does not have the hoist options in the SHAPE field that the standard hoist symbol would have if you used the insert hoist tool. I have made sure to attach the hoist record report in the DATA section, or to make sure the record of the new symbol (the hoist symbol) is used when it replaces the previous object, and still no native hoist editable fields in the SHAPE menu for the object.
