  1. Hi Kevin Thanks for your quick reply. I started my old system. I took a picture of what the folder contains. This system Is running vision just fine.
  2. Hello everyone After a clean install of a new system and Vision, I get a message, that Vision cannot load library from my C drive. See attached message. Have any experienced this problem? I am running on a newly build system, with Ryzen 9 5950x CPU. Best from Mathias vision
  3. I just found that all the crops somehow is stored in the file. After right clicking a screen, and choosing "Reset Video Input" I get the whole list of crop's. So somehow they are still a part of the file. I attached a screen shot. This at least makes start up a lot easier :) Best from Mathias
  4. Thanks again for your reply. It helps a lot with a friend 🙂 My work around is to crop all screens after reboot, which is a little time consuming, but manageable. I have send you my files. It will be interesting to se if you experience the same. When testing, remember to make individual crops for every screen. I just tried to map all screens to the same crop. After a restart Vision recognised the crop! So you might be on to something here! 🥳 I will try to map my screens to fewer crops, and see if I can find the limit.
  5. Hi again @bbudzon I have been doing a lot of testing now. It is difficult to find any consistent reproduction of the problem. Unfortunately I haven't been able to reproduce the problem in a new file. When making a file with fewer crops, and the same geometry as my show file, I dont experience the problem. At a time I had the idea, that it had to doo with how many network cards / inputs were active in the machine. As I use: One for Art-Net from the console. One for NDI from my media server. One for Internet, to keep dropbox backup. When disabling so only one card was receiving data, it seamed more stable, and loaded the file. But after enabling the other two, and reloading the file it started to not recognise the crop again. However this was no problem in my "smal" test file. Right now I am unsure how to move on. Maybe I can share my file with you to test? In addition i experience Vision to crash, almost every time I open a file. When it loads "Dynamic Cache" it goes to around 12% and closes. This made me open it in "Safe Mode" which lets me open the file, and afterwords adjust Preferences. I am running on a Windows 10 Pro with an older Intel Core i7-7700, 32GB RAM, and a Nvidia 1080 Graphics card. But the activity monitor dont show any sign of the machine being stressed when opening. It lays around 30-40% on GPU, and 20% On CPU. The crashing started after adding the Screen inputs. Best from Mathias
  6. Thanks for quick reply! I will try what you suggests right away. Is there a way to share the files with you, outside the forum? It is a quite big show I am working on, so I might not share it online. Best from Mathias
  7. Hello again @bbudzon I have been working on the same file for some weeks now. Every day a make a new version, just to keep safe from making any mistakes. However a couple of days ago, I had to redo my NDI output machine, so I changed the NDI mapping. Now vision don't find the Crop for video surfases any more. I have redone the crop 3 times now, all the time being carefull to save. But after reboot they are gone. I get prompted with the Video inout Crop menu when loading the file, but all crops are missing. The old file works fine, and detects the NDI input as before. Even though I changed IP. Is this a behaviour you have seen before? I have 22 LED titels that I crop the input to. Here is the dialog I got from the old file, just before it recognises the input. UPDATE: I just tried to open the old file, where NDI inputs work, and it detects all crop. Stored it as a new file on my desktop, and reloaded the file into vision. This made it loos all crops again. Best from Mathias
  8. Thanks for great reply @bbudzon. It turned out I had some video surfaces given the same mapping number. Besides my NDI connection was unstable. Now it all works again. Thanks again! Best from Mathias
  9. Thanks JuanP I will try a reinstall of my OS.. Hope it works.
  10. Hello. I am setting up some LED screens in Vision. They are placed as graphic screens, so no regular image. Therefore i am cropping every screen from a singel input. It gives me arround 25 crops. When after exit it seems that vision forgets the crop. Is there a way to make vision store the crop for every screen, or will i need to do it on every startup? Best from Mathias
  11. Thanks for quick reply @JuanP I have tried just that. I get the same message. Also tried reinstall of vision, and reboot. I don't have any anti virus software, as far as I know.
  12. Hello I have a problem after installing Vision 2021. Apple OS detects Vision as malware. I get prompted with a message, that Vision wants do damage the computer, and I have to move it to the trash can. Does any of you know this problem? It has been working some months ago. Attached is a screenshot. However it is in danish. I am running OSX Catalina 10.15.7 on a MacBook Pro 15" 2018. I have beed uninstalling and reinstalling it. Best from Mathias
  13. Hi Jesse Thanks for your reply. It makes sense! I made a grayscale, not black and white. Now I made a black and white transparency shader. However it stil don't show right in Vision. It seems that the shader imports, but there are no transparency. Can you se any mistakes in my setup? Something is still Best from Mathias
  14. Hello I am working on a show, and experience heavy performance issues. I don't think the file is especially more complex, then what I have been doing earlier. However the file size is 123 mb. Simple tasks, as making a Hidden line viewport, and moving around the file suddenly slows down. As well I can se that it take up a large amount of RAM. At the moment around 26gb. I am running on: Mac book pro 15" 2018 2,6 GHz Intel Core i7 16 GB 2400 MHz DDR4 Radeon Pro 560X 4 GB I have a referenced file linked. Yesterday I added some schematic views, which felt like slowing the performance even more. Do you have any suggestions about how to performance uptimize, or may there be a bug in the software? Do any of you have any input? Have you experienced the same about schematic views? Best from Mathias
  15. Hello Jesse Thanks for your help. I am struggling to get it to work. Now I made a simple 50% gray, and uses it as transparency. However vision still don't seem to pick it up.
  16. Hello Jesse Thanks a lot for your reply. I am looking through the articles. As i understand it at the moment, I will need to create the texture outside of Vectorworks am I right? When I want to make a 60% transperent screen? I hoped I could make simple textures directly in Vectorworks. Best from Mathias
  17. Hello everyone I am trying to move a model from Vectorworks to vision, to pre program. In the model I have some semi transparent PVC cloth. I do a export to .MVR, and import this file in Vision. However I don't seem to get the transparency in Vision. I attached some screen shots. Do you have a solution for this? Is there any god advice on getting materials to show in Vision? Best from Mathias Vectorworks:
  18. Hi bbudzon and klinzey Thanks a lot for your quick reply. It makes sense, I thought I missed something. I will try that later today 🙂 Best from Mathias
  19. Hello everyone Hope you can help me on this one. I am trying to make some LED screens. But vision seams to duplicate my video input to fill the screen. I made the file in Vectorworks, and exported it as MVR, to get it in to vision. I am sending NDI from Madmapper. I made to outputs here, one for each screen. Both mad mapper outputs has the same resolution as the screen set up in Vectorworks. It seems I am missing some kind of scaling or alignment option? My Vectorworks settings for the screen is here. It is the same situation, when using my webcam in my laptop, as input. Do anyone have experience with this? Best from Mathias
  20. Thanks a lot for your reply! It makes sense 🙂 I am kind of new to vision, and trying to find the best way of importing models, when still working on then in VW. It seems like MVR is the best workflow around this. Do you have any god advice on this? Or any article on it?
  21. Hello again I have an update. Apparently not was the "units in file" setting causing problems. I was matching it to the units in the VW file. When changing it to "mm" instead of "cm" it looks much better. Cheers.
  22. Hello everyone I am running into a strange issue when sending my model from Vectorworks to Vision. It seems my objects ends at space origin. So everything is at 0;0;0. I would like it to be placed at the position in space, as my Vectorworks drawing. My method of importing is: Export to MVR file from Vectorworks. Import MVR file in Vision. Here is how it looks after import: And how it looks In Vectorworks: My esport settings in Vectorworks is: Import settings in Vision is: Do any of you know what I am missing? Hope you can help! Best from Mathias
  23. I am trying to get my head around this. I do understand your point, about the layer, and rotating that. However it seems like the the anchor point stays with the object. Am I right in assuming, that if I want to make an object rotate around its center axes, I should import it at the 0;0;0 origin, and move it in vision, instead of Vector Works?
  24. Hi bbudzon Thanks a lot for your great reply. I get your point, it makes sense. I will try your workaround 🙂 Best from Mathias
  25. Hello everyone I am working on a show, where we want to pre visualise a lot of stage element movements. They go on every axes, and rotate. My problem is, the rotation. Is it possible to change the anchor point of a object in Vision? It seems as it takes the 0;0;0 coordinate as default anchor point as default. Best from Mathias
