    Changing Default Values /Custom Dialogs

    IsNewCustomObject I thought may work. Have set up a record that relates to the Dialog .

    This is good for after object creation then can load dialog from Record .

    The above function I Am trying to set up is before object creation.

    Maybe two Dialog setups in the layout routine .

    Good to here youre voice mate Go the Chiefs.

    move symbols in walls

    Yes there has been a reply to this before.

    With your selection tool on hit the shortcut key I(the wall insertion mode is turned off now)

    Now you can move this along the wall without dragging the symbol out .

    If you want to duplucate Hit I again and drag out of wall Then use the alt/ctrl key to place in another wall .Toggle with the wall insertion mode (I) Key if you must to reposition.

    Some others will probably have a better way

    Have u tried Edit Group . (Or Control[).It then gives u the option of editing the Path or the profile.

    Go into profile And shift the rectangle either side of the centre ,by default it applies it to tha center.And if you have to flip the rectangle 90degrees.

    Then control]to get out of the group.

    A bit of trial and error then your there.

    Animation plays stilted

    Have a movie that plays very stilted.

    Saved it as video and animation but no difference .

    Updated my drivers .Is there any other settings I should change in relation to my video card.

    What about the QT file format is there a better option from the selection that allows some sort of file compression maybe PNG.

    6000 frame 200 secound movie.30frames per secound .Rw settings are high with ray tracing and anti aliasing .

    Sorry if this is the wrong foram but wont to hit the most eyes on this on .

    Any input appreciated .

    Memory - one or more operations aborted...

    Any had this or has a suggestion.In middle of saving sheets for a movie then this error pops up and parralizes me .Is there any settings that can help me here ?

    It will render but then this comes up.

    9731kb file not overly big .

    24 sheets saved and rendered.

    Have quickly in between the messages deleted some sheets ,saved rebooted ra,ra,ra no differece .

    Any ideas folks.Would be much appreciated

    2.7 gig ,win xp pro,1meg of ram ,128 video card VWArchitect,Renderworks .

    Dtm I cant get to work

    Yes I have used custom selection to just select 3d

    Loci.The error message is this'Error There isnt enough valid data on the specified layer to buld a DTM".

    I dont see what the difference is To 9.5 version?

    Perhaps I have Alzheimers and am forgetting something really basic.

    Again I have tried Polygons Grid still nothing.

    10.5 Xp Pro Gig 1 Meg ram 128Video

    Used to use the Dtm frequently in 9.5 now I keep getting error ' Not enough data in source layer to create '. Have tried D polys , 3d loci which i prefer and tried grid . Have i forgotten to do something basic here .Or has the Dtm Changed in Version 10?????

    patterns versus hatches

    Have had a problem with a floor plan with layer links that once hatches are applied is very slow on zooming in and out.They are endeavouring to correct this Bring on 10.5.Have been suggested to use patterns instead of hatches as they are faster.I dont like the control of patterns that I have seen (lineweight so forth When zoom levels change so do they)Am I missing the point about VW here or am I trying to autocad Vw

    Copy of question sent to Retailer in New Zealand

    Its Monday morning and I have had enough.

    Have sent Queries to VW,s over TextSpacing problems and Slow down in zooming .Nemetschek has to seriously

    provide some back up .I have files with 10.1.2 that are uselessly slow when I zoom around.

    Also Arial text that every now and then places itself at a 1.5 spacing .Absolute rubbish to look at printing ..

    We need answers not silence .If it is something obviously dumb we are doing or a bug which I presume is the later, it needs to be answered.

    Grant(my boss) is quite unsure of switching us over to VW because of the lack of backup and answers, which I don?t blame.

    This in no way is helping us in production It is unacceptable.

    When you think about the sales pitch used that it speeds up draughting by sizable percentage.

    This is not the case at this point.

    It?s a pig when I have layer linked to a ground plan . Have hatches in my walls with text populating the Plan .

    Xp 2.66 meg processor 128meg ram video 1Gig ram .

    I have sent copies of my files to them .They are in the General discussion area.

    Now even Katie who tried to care is not there helping any more. Whats going on?.

    I personally think 10 has some excellent features that are intuitive, but when it wont do the basics properly its

    like a Ferrari that wont get out of first gear.

    Perhaps I have to learn Autocad Because Im not making money at this rate.

    Do you want me to show you an example or two?

    Text Alters zooming

    Have a problem with text in files altering in symbols when you zoom in and out . The spacing changes by about one and a half.This also shifts the location of the text slightly and looks a whole lot untidy.

    Anyone know whats causing this ?.
