  1. Is there a way to reshape a roof?

For example when you have cut a section away from a roof but then want to re add the reshape tool does not allow you to modify the boundary, or, the Modify>Add surface tool does not work. You are able to cut / clip the shape of the roof but not add?

See example of very simple roof below where a cut has been made but can not be amended to be 'filled' back in or made smaller.

  2. Can this be done?

For example, for a particular issue of drawings I only want to update my sections and elevations, however, what I don't want to do is update the internal and external render viewports as well which take a long time!

Would be great if you could use your Organisation window to highlight selected viewports to update...

  3. Thanks Tom. Yes it is a 'Edit Section in Place' Screenshot.

It would be frustrating if the slab components need to be cut around the wall, given the wall is constrained to the top of slab level and would have helped that VW would stop the floor components accordingly.

For example, we are currently developing the design with walls moving back and forward. Therefore it would not be ideal to move a wall and then have to edit the slab as well....

  4. Hi,

We are starting to look at using the 3D / BIM side of Vetorworks Architect and rolling out throughout the office. I have drawn one of our projects, a large house, in 3D and am having issues with the speed of the program.

Can I please have comments on the specifications of our iMacs as seen in the signature below. Comparing to the requirements shown online it looks like we have more than enough RAM however I am wondering if it is the graphics card / processor that is causing the issues.

The file I am working on is 210mb - could this also cause issues?
