    Data tags

    I've been using data tags to label my planting plans which I love as a feature since it makes labeling much faster. But most of the time I use the data tags the quantity shows up with decimal points. Since I'm working with plants I don't need decimal points and it looks odd. I've attached a photo about what I mean. Is there a way to fix this?
  2. I made a detailed viewport of a section on my planting plan. I've now been trying to create a plant report on all the plants within that detailed viewport but I can't seem to get it. What criteria do I have to set on the report to get that specific area?

  5. I can't seem to figure out how to space the data tags evenly. They always seem to overlap and I´ve tried every single combination. I´ve tried putting a larger box around the tag layout so maybe there would be space between them but that doesn´t seem to work. The parallel one doesn't work because you still get overlaps if there are two plants on the same level. As for the aligning them equally, all the tags just seem to stack up onto each other. Is there a way to set a distance between the tags? The top image is aligning by equal distance. (I also made a long line so they could spread across that but for some reason they love grouping together) The bottom one is the parallel.
  6. Do I duplicate this file? And if I do duplicate the file does that mean I´ll have 20 different tables in my resourse manager? Is it similar to the plant set up? Is there an easy way to do this?
  7. Every time I change the criteria for the sheet layer 3 the table changes correctly to that criteria I set. However, all the tables on other sheet layers change to the same one that I created in layer 3. How do I get around that?
  8. How do you label general areas? Right now I'm doing a planting plan and I´m able to label specific plants. But how do you label a whole planting bed. In the image lets say the planting bed on the left is planting bed A and on the right its planting bed B. If I want to create a plant label for bed A, with a list of all the quantities and latin names of the plants, how would I go about that? Because I can do this by adding them up and creating my own label I was wondering if there was just an easier way
  9. Right now I´m trying to create specific planting reports for sections of a larger landscape. I have broken the planting sections down to classes and layers but vw still does them for the whole site. I tried messing around with more specific criteria such as "layer... is... section 1(The specific design sheet of plants)" and I still can´t get it to work. Is there a way to break up the planting plan so that I can have smaller sections of planting reports? And if there is a video that shows this or even photos that would be much appreciated.
  10. I saw some discussions back in 2016 about Vectorworks possibility of getting certified in Vectorworks. Has there been any progress on that front or is there just the Vectorworks university?

  12. What is the best way to share my plant's resource file with other people in my office? I know you can say send it to them but I´m looking for a way where if I were to edit the document that the file would update automatically on everyone else's computer
  13. Right now I´m trying to create my own personal plant library. I already have the plants with their respective measurements in a folder within the resource manager. I´m trying to change the 2d graphics for each of the plants but every time that I do change the colour I seem to lose it straight away right as I click done. Is there a certain way that you have to go about 2d graphics?

  15. Is there a way then to have a set viewport ready? Like a template one or a style? The same way you would have a title block style where you can still edit it?

  17. Is it possible for the scale bar to change automatically without having to put the scale bar in every single time? For example, having it set as a title block style.

    Scale Bar

    For the scale the text automatically changes to the scale Im using in the design layer using the link value, sheet data.scale. Is there a way for the scale bar to automatically change with the scale from the design layer? (like the scale text link)
