If I rotate the plan and after drawing something get back to Top/Plan view the underlying imported image is no more congruent with the drawing on top. Does anybody had the same problem or a solution? When I reimport the image it is in the right place again.

I was looking for a better organisation and found this discussion. So do you find a solution to organize the list in the navigation palette? I also find that in a big project the alphabetical ungrouped order is not very helpfull.

Is it possible to view the content of the undo steps because in some cases I would like to see what I want to undo before I do it?

Hi, how do you update a plant symbol when you made some corrections in the plant definition. I did not get an update in the drawing at once and I always have to take the corrected plant from the recource browser again so that I can see the changes I made in the plant definition or in the plant tag. I hope you can understand what I am trying to do, I want to make changes in the plant definition and see it at one in all plants of the same definition in the drawing. Regards Uli

Hi, do you know if the plugin for VW 2009 is running in 2010. I bought the plugin when it came out some years ago and the hotline of cinema told me that they don't sell it seperatly anymore. So do you know if the VW 2009 plugin update is free and if it works with VW 2010 and Cinema 4d R11. Regards Uli

Hi Carl, the problem is, that VW can not import georeferenced files without a world file (lat,long). So if you edit that file, regardless the format, in PS, it will loose the placement in geography. Anyway I tried to open a gif file in VW, with a transparent background in PS, but the background was black in VW. I think I have to experiment a little bit with the settings and the format to find a way. Thanks again for every help. Uli

Hi Carl, thank you, I think that is what I am looking for, but I can?t find the commands you posted. I only found the right click edit menu but there I can't find: Select image as color alo I can't find mask transperency and the manual, in that case, is no big help for me. Maybe I overlooked something or I don't understand the procedure. Up to now I only know the procedure from other programs: select pixel colour -> set transparent. Thanks Uli

Hi monkey, thank you very much for the reply, but as I wrote, I have a georeferenced file and if you save that in Photoshop you loose the settings. So if anybody knows a way inside VW, I would be happy. I think that must be a standard tool for any better CAD program. Uli

Hi, can anybody show me a simple way to make the background colour of an image transparent. I can't find a solution or I missed it. I have a white background of an imported georeferenced file and I just search a box to set i.e. pixel with colour 1 to be transparent or something like that. Uli

Hi, is it also possible to collect plants from different search inputs. I.e. I first search the database for white daylilys, second I want to add white phlox to that list. Is that possible to save that plantlist out of different search enquiries to one plant list VW so that I have my special list for a special project and not ten different plantlists of all the different enquiries? I am using VW Landmark 2008 and if I want to import georeferenced aerial image they come in high resolution and large size. So for me these limits are very serious if VW wants to work in the GIS field.

Hi, what I understand up to now, is that VW creates a new Plant database and new Plant Lists inside the User Folder, so I better leave the VW Installation Folder with the defaults alone. Can someone show me a simple way to select different databases which I have made from plant data i.E. Uli.USR out of a VW drawing file, or do I always have to rename the datatbase to VW Plants.USR, before I can use it. I just want to open different Plant databases out of the drawing document and make Plantlists from selected features, because I do not want one big Plant database. Hi, thanks again. Up to now, for me it is difficult to understand what VW is doing with databases and plant lists and where it is saving and what it is saving. I.e. I saved a new Plant List in a directory and than Chose VW Plants and lead VW to that directory but what I get is the old list. Up to now I do not understand the systematics of VW data handling of Plant database and Plant list. I read the manual, knowledgebase but it is only a sort of trial and error for me. Regards Uli

Hi, thanks to everybody. After viewing two movies of the knowledgebase I realised that I have to update my Plant database. I find the process a little uncomfortable. Maybe that will be more simple in VW 2010. What I realised, it is nearly impossible to work with one big database, thats right Ian. Thank you for the hint to make some lean Plantlist, Ozzie. Hi, I imported a xls plantlist to the plant database. I can see the plants there. But if I want to place the plants with the option get plant data there are only some listed in the categories. I don't know why only some plants from the Plant database are listed with the place plant tool inside the document. Regards Uli VW 2008 Landmark SP3 XP Pro SP3
