Is it possible to export a pdf file with the object links active in Acrobat after export?

I am working with GIS coordinates, so they are far out of 0,0. For me it would be very fine, if I could move the origin like I want in 3d and 2d space and back again, this feature I searched for many years, because I was used to it in Acad with the WCS and UCS. Maybe I missed sth.

Hi brian-rcw, I hope that I understand your problem. I am also working in outer space and I solved the move page problem with the Previous view button. 1. Strg 6 2. Strg 4 3. Move page tool 4. Previous view. I hope that helps. VW 2010 Landmark

As far as I know, you can install VW on 1 desktop and 1 Notebook if you don't use it at the same time. So you can work only on one machine.

Thanks again Tamsin, the problem is, that I do not have a library with all the plants I need. The recource browser is a fine tool and normally I am working the way you describe (got it out of your book . But now I have a bigger list, that I want to import into the recource browser. So up to now, I only find the possibility to place a plant get the plant from the plant list I definded before and import it into the drawing or export it to my recource file. Maybe it would be a good tool, if I could import a complete list, just for the plant area without symbols.

Is it possible to import a comlete plant list into the open drawing, that I can add the plants to the plant area. For me it seems that the plants must be in the open drawing and I can only add these plant to the plant area. Maybe I can import a complete plantlist into the drawing at once, when I made it with the plant database? Thanks for any help

Hi Mikael, thank you very much for your help, works fine. Do you know if I can enter SQL or plain text so that it shows up in the drawing. With plain text I had no luck up to now. It seems to me, that I can only enter the Plant information of the Landscape Area Preferences. The easiest way would be a custom entry in the Area units field.

Is it possible to show the quantities of the plants in the tag of a Landscape Area? I was only able to show the % in the tag, and the quantities are listet in the Plant Schedule. And is it also possible to change the sq m into m? or define a custom unit? Thanks VW 2010 Landmark SP4 WinXP Pro

I have the problem that transparent images (e.G. xfrog trees) have solid white fills. It took me some hours to figure out an export to pdf and open in Illustrator solved some problems and the export to jpg also works (max. dpi!). But I must say that all my other professional programs gives me a good output when I print to destiller. So it would be very nice if I can export or print as I like. Thanks Uli

I thougt designer has all modules and so maybe the version in 2009 was a landmark or designer version and now he has only the architect module.

Hi Miguel, thank you for your help, but that only gives me an emty column I want to add a collumn with records like I can make them when I start to make a worksheet e.G. I can add quantity, quality, etc. So I want to add a fields with context from the symbols I have. I hope you can understand what I'm searching for. Thanks and regards Uli

Is it possible to append a column e.G quantity to an existing worksheet or do I have to insert the modified worksheet once again? I found the option to append something to a worksheet but it was put inside the first column under the existing records.

Hi Islandmon, thanks for the reply, but even if I restart the system it doesn't help. I put some drawing labels on a new file and I can insert numbers as I like even 4 times a 1, no errror message. But in the viewports and on the sheet layer I can't change the number and I get this error message "That number is already used by a drawing on this sheetlayer." But I don't use that number, I used this number in the beginning and exchanged it with another one. Strange. For the beginning I changed the number with a space prefix. Regards Uli

I put some drawing labels in the viewports. I changed the numbers. Now I get an error message that e.g the number 1 or 8 is already used. I looked every drawing label but number 1 or 8 is no more in use. I even deleted the drawing labels and made a new one and still get this error message. Has anybody came across this problem too?

Hi, some questions: when I want to create a new viewport the option select source is grey, even if I create a reference file in the document first? Is it possible to switch between different origins? Can I restore an origin if I set a new origin to 0,0? Regards Uli
