    Scaling

Remember, it is of the current size, not the original size. So if you reduce by .5 the first time, .80 scale would reduce the size of the drawing an additional 20% rather than increasing it to 80% of the original drawing. Brian O Thank you for your reply, actually I needed a quick answer and I still have tech support by phone so I figured I would give that a shot too since I didn't know if anyone would actually get back to me (I've never used a bulletin board before) The problem was that during the import (the file was a .dxf import) some things didn't show up but still existed. Phone support had me do a select all then a fit to screen and I found that the object was aprox. 800' wide when it was supposed to be 60' wide this threw it clear outside the layer scale and Vectorworks would not let it scale. Anyhow thank you for your response apparently these things do work!

    Scaling

I would like to scale an entire drawing. When I make the drawing larger it will work okay on the entire drawing but in trying to downsize the drawing it totally destroys it by breaking apart the group and converting it to millions of individual points. The Vectorworks book only tells me that no symbols or layer links can be scaled but the drawing does not contain these. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
