  1. I would like to edit this slab so that its southern edge aligns with the northern edge of the wall. When I enter the edit boundary mode, I'm presented with only the boundary and no other geometry. How are you supposed to achieve what I am trying to do?

  3. The VW tutorial I saw on making floor plans showed the viewports as wireframe. However doing so leaves both faces of the wall visible where a door is. If I change the viewport to hidden line, then the doors and windows disappear. How do we make a conventional floor plan where the cut plane is at 4' AFF?

  6. Can anyone tell me why the linework in this elevation (screenshot from a sheet layer) is so fuzzy? The section and the floorplan are not fuzzy.
  7. So I've inputted a door with the correct dimensions, and I've drawn a door slab. But I don't see how to format the door into an opening. BTW the first image below does not belong in this thread but I don't see how to delete it. Please see the second image.

  9. Hmmm...The lines don't change to dashed. Yes, and it's a 3-D model. The trellis is on its own subclass from the main roof class. Yes, the attributes are defined by class.

  15. Every time I select view in vectorworks it's always set to wireframe. I change it to view>rendering>openGL. Next time I come back to this view it's set to wireframe again. How do I change all views to always show openGL?
  16. I couldn't figure out how to "make sure the profile has a fill", so I deleted and recreated them. Thx.
  17. Hmmm...somehow these (see the one highlighted) came out without their faces. Can this be corrected or do I need to delete and recreate them?
  18. Thx boomer, but holding the "T" key produced the same results. Screen Plane mode did the trick.
  19. The value of this constrained dimension is obviously wrong. Can anyone show me how to measure the vertical distance between these 2 members?
  20. Tada! The 2-D rectangle I used to make this roof was still in the model when I invoked the command. So naturally the walls were attaching to it. Now that I've deleted the 2-D rectangle and re-issued the command, the walls do their thing quite nicely.
  21. A ha...For some reason this wouldn't work on the first roof I created. But it worked here.
  22. I used the the "fit walls to objects" command to have the tops of the walls to join the underside of the roof, but the walls don't change their height. What am I missing?
  23. Okay, I see that there is a roof height parameter during the creation of the roof. For some reason it was automatically set to -8'. I was not able to find way to edit the the value of that parameter and ended up deleting the roof and re-creating. Is there a way to edit that parameter without deleting and re-creating the roof?
