His machine has Directx 9.0a, Nvidia Geforce 4 MX 440 driver version 4.3.4.5, XP Pro w/sp-1, HP 2100 PCL 6 version 4.3.2.201, and the same printer postscript version 4.0. He also has the following software installed: Abaqus Acrobat 5 Photoshop 7 AutoCad 2000 Easy CD 5 Basic Exceed and Exceed 3D Matlab Office XP Pro Patran SAP2000 He does not have any other vectorworks software on the machine. I am pretty sure it is not a quicktime, printer driver or video driver issue since I have swapped all of those out with different versions and/or types. Minicad version 7.0.1a, the message is "Runtime Error! Program:C:\ProgramFiles\MiniCAD7\MINICAD.EXE abnormal program termination". Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library is the caption of the window. [ 03-28-2003, 10:07 AM: Message edited by: Thorr ]

I did a full custom install of quicktime, still no dice.

On the other similiar machine that is working, I do not have quicktime or quickdraw installed at all and it works fine.

I have version 5 of quicktime, and yes it is the visual C++ runtime error at startup

yes, the 2200 is the default printer. As I said before I am running the software on another machine with the exact same printer configuration.

Minicad works fine on another similiar machine hooked to the same printer with the same driver. So I am thinking that it cannot be a printer or video issue.

I have an HP LJ 2200 installed as default with the PCL-5 driver. I also have the same printer installed with the postscript driver. I have a HP LJ 4ML driver also installed.

I am having the exact same problems as listed above, I have tried all of the steps and still nothing. I have tried a different video card with a different driver and it still did not work. I also tried a different printer. My machine is running windows XP pro on NTFS. I have an NVDIA GeFroce 4, 1GB DDR ram, P4 - 2.4GHz on an 845 chipset motherboard. Any ideas?
