Hello everyone, Do you guys uses Vectorworks Dormers? If you want to personalise the vectorworks dormers can we do it? or else how do you guys create your dormers from scratch? Might be in future release we might be able to select the place we want to place the dormers with our cursor. Thanks for some ideas and help

@Pat Stanford Hi Pat thanks you very much for your help. I did select everything on my page and delete everything unuse around. But i am still having the same issue with the Extract Tools and also sometime not able to use the push/pull tools. For the Geo referencing i am not very use to it for the time being but i will surely come to use it often in the near future. Thanks again.

@Andy Broomell Thank for your advice. The reason why i use the Extract tools for my texture is that i use several type texture on one facades. I don't know if this file might have been corrupted of something like that, as am unable to use the PUSH/PULL tools sometime, even try to combine roof its not working hear, pffff 😞

@Pat Stanford Hi Pat thanks. I use it to add texture to my walls. Here is an example. Some wall it let me select it straight away, when i click on the GREEN TICK or type ENTER nothing happen. Normally i should get a Planar Object, it's the first time i am having this issue. Each time i am having a dialogue box Select Face, on other project i do not have this dialogue box when i use the Extract Tool. Thanks for your help. PLAN.vwx

Hello everyone, has anyone had issues with the Extract tools? Its not detecting any form i do. Do we have any parameters to change to use this tool? Thanks for your help.

@Pat Stanford Thanks for your help. Answer in black bold and have also two files Please check Document Preferences:Display:Adjust Flipped Text. This should be checked. It is checked You can click the Flip Text check box in the OIP for any particular piece of text that is showing backwards. It is checked for Dimension but we do not have this check box for text May be i am doing something wrong? Test.pdf Dimension and text.vwx

@Diego-Resuelvectorworks Thanks. Am still unable to put dimension on the Design Layer, the Automatic Working plane does not appear when i select the Dimension Tool (Either Contrained and Uncontrained).

Hello everyone... Hope that everyone is staying safe at home... I am quite new to vectorworks and getting use to it now. All projects are being done on vectorworks 2020 I was wondering why there are differences between vectorworks software when you switch from vectorwork French to vectorwork English, i suppose there are other differences also with other languages. Example, you can create automatic version of GUTTERS in the French version whereas in the English version NO. I have came across people complaining about no automatic Gutters with user from US and England version. Are we allow to use an English serial number on a French version or we should buy a new version completely?

Hello everyone, I am requested to do my walls and windows as shown in the attached files. The creation of the wall along with insulation is ok, but i don't know how to create the incline wall down to the door. In 2D am able to create it with shape but in 3D, do i have to do it with extrusion or can i do it with wall style? Attached is a vectorworks file and capture. Thanks for your kind help. Project.vwx

Hello everyone, I need to submit my 3D openGL facades in DWG file format. Have any one done it? will it be possible to explain it to me please? Do we export the design layer or the Sheet layer for the FACADE 3D and SECTION 3D?

Hi everyone, I have search for it everywhere but could not come across. How do you guys out Dimension your 3D plan(elevation). Do you do it in Design Layer or on Sheet layer in Annotations? I have try to do it on Design layer itself, but i use the flyover tools or i change my view(with keyboard pad), either the dimension does not appear or the texts just reverse. Thanks for your advise and help

@Art V Hi Art V thanks for your help. After i adjust what you say i came up with as attached when keep rendering on Projected there is the green part which remain but if i choose Existing rendering the light green part goes away but Grade Limits Automatically appear in red

Hello everyone, I have been trying to use site modelling. Maximum elevation : 63460 Minimum Elevation : 58500 I was able to model my site but when i reference my Building on the document, the terrain appear on top and my building under it. i have created a PAD then created Creating Grade Limits Automatically. See attached what happen to my modelling Thanks for your guide.
