Hi, I have accidentally scaled my 3d model when scaling a sketch up import and don't know how to reverse it and don't know how much I scaled it up by. I last saved it with the wrong scale so I can't undo. I have auto back up on and no back up versions of the file have the right scale. Is there a way to recover an older version of a file on a Mac? This is a university project so it would be amazing if I can some how recover it. Thanks

Thanks @CipesDesign I want to do a 3D model. How would I attach the extrusion brickwork on to a wall? I'm still very new to Vectorworks 😃- 11 replies

Hi, I am wanting to create a detailed building showing the unique brickwork on the facade of the building. How would I do this in the most efficient way? Below is a screenshot of the elevation of the facade. Would be great if anyone can help. Thanks

Hi, I'm still very new to Vectorworks and want to know if is there is away to make a render channel (e.g. alpha channel) or material ID? I enjoy manipulating my rendered photos after on photoshop as it just makes it easy using the wand tool to select a certain area of the photo. If there's a way of doing it can you please explain how? Thanks

Hi, I want to know is there any way of projecting a movie/video on a video screen then recording a rendered animation of it? I'm want to create several video screens with graphic motion imagery in an animation of the space I'm designing.

Hello, I need to add a skylight to a roof face as I'm creating an atrium and I'm having trouble on how to make flat, glass roofs. I have created a 3d symbol of a skylight and I'm now having trouble positioning the skylight to the correct place. There seems to be a gap between the dormer cut out and the symbol itself. I have tried clicking edit skylight and this also left a triangular hole on the roof. 😁

I'm making a ruinous building and I'm stuck on how to reshape the wall. I've tried reshaping the wall but it didn't seem to work out. I then tried to make a 3d shape, then create a wall recess but the sides of the wall still remain. I have now made a 3d shape of the wall but don't know how to make it apart of the wall . So how do I attach the 3d object to the wall or is their a better alternative method.

Importing a model on Vectorworks onto a site model on Vectorworks
Ami posted a question in Troubleshooting
Hi, I am having trouble figuring out how to import a 3d model of a building from Vectorworks on a separate Vectorworks document without the model appearing disfigured or have missing objects? Also how do I bring it to ground level on a site model?
