  1. Thanks. I'm now getting an error code 1 when trying to update the database - VW tells me to look it up in Google, can't find a specific answer so packing it in for today.
  2. Yes - it's in Object info -Tag Display - set custom tag - then "select image form" - which corresponds to first image in plant database. VW 2028 Landmark, forgot to enter that. Also see my response to Jeff about wrong images attached to plants.
  3. Thanks Jeff - after some searching I found his post, followed his instructions, didn't work, then searched help, went through steps, didn't work. So I imported his spreadsheet - and Voila! it works! must be a missing link somewhere... Well at least it partly works. Now I have 50% of the right images to the right plants, the other images - are from other plants. Yew has a picture of a rose of Sharon, Annabelle hydrangea is a bully and has taken over other plant images. They are correct in the plant data base. But some work. 🙂
  4. I would like to create an excel spreadsheet that has a plant list with images - specifically the "plant image form" - from the plant data base. all I get is - =IMAGE. I do not want the graphic symbol for the plant - I want the actual picture of the plant. I have spent hours googling and looking in VW help, nothing works. Can someone confirm that this is not actually possible and perhaps I am just wasting my time? This function is available for Dynascape users.
  5. @Tamsin Slatter Thanks Tasmin. I was having an issue with a plant symbol - created a new symbol for Pyrus - when I changed the size the white blooms disappeared. Spent so much time trying to figure it out and finally found your post - Problem fixed. Thanks!
  6. @Jim Wilson thanks - appreciate the info. I had found some of your other articles but the not the one referenced below. I was looking at a Lenovo with a P1000 Quadro graphic card - intereresting that they are marketed as "CAD" cards, but don't really benefit VW. I have yet to download VW 2018 due to my computer restrictions so this is very helpfull in narrowing down the purchase. @Sharon F
  7. I am searching for a new computer as my old laptop is out of date - running VW Landmark 2017. I've done a lot of research on-line, and am looking for clarification on the following: True or False? - a gaming laptop with should not be used for CAD programs (as they have different requirements?)' - a dedicated graphics card is not always necesssary (as I see some people seem to be using integrated grapics cards, sometime with better results?) -NVIDIA Quadro P series versus GTX graphic cards (GTX seem to be intergrated cards on most PC's I have looked at) - the CPU, not the graphics card is more important for 3D - the graphics card relates to rendering speed I am an independent designer doing primarily residential work. I dont want to invest $$$$$ in a computer, but also don't want to cut myself short in a new purchase. Prefer PC over MAC as I think better value in a PC, more configuration options. any guidance /feedback on questions above would be really appreciated as I seem to be getting bogged down.......... thanks!
