  1. Hi we have an office with 15 Macs, 13 of which are running a mixture of OS 10.2.8 and 10.3.9. All have acrobat 6 and vectorworks 10.5.1, to create a PDF of a drawing we just select Adobe PDF as the printer and print. Works fine, we have just had 2 new machines running OS 10.4.2 and Vectorworks 11.5. If we create a new drawing then we can create a PDF the same way as above. The problem is as soon as we open a drawing created in Vectorworks 10.5.1 we can still select Acrobat PDF as the printer but the PDF options disappears and when you click on print you just get the coloured spinning wheel forever and no PDF. We get the problem on both of the new machines.
  2. Hi I have 10 Macs running OSX 10.2.8 and vectorworks 10.1.2 all apart from 1 let me install the 10.5.0 and then the 10.5.1 update. When updating one machine from 10.2.1 to 10.5.0 it asks for the serial number like all the rest but when entered it says it is not a valid serial number. I have checked and double checked the serial number and it is correct. I have deleted vectorworks all together and started again from version 10.1 on the original CD and that likes the serial number, but as soon as you try to update it to 10.5.0 it comes back with the serial number error. Any ideas?
  3. Hi Katie, thanks again for the reply. The only printer specific options under the print dialog is poster mode disabled or enabled and that is set to disabled. All the other settings seem to be generic for any printer.
  4. Hi thanks again for getting back to me, I have double checked print current view option and it is not checked..
  5. Thanks for that Katie, we are just using an OCE PPD so the printer settings are mostly Laser 8, forgive the stupid question but where is the print current view option. It seems a little strange as the job may print fine in the morning but than the same unchanged job later in the day prints in the manner mentioned.
  6. In vectorworks 10.0.1 running on a Mac with OS 9.2.2 and carbon lib 1.6, A0 drawing page setup to A0 and scale at 100% print to OCE 9300 with a postscipt option in it accross a network via a Apple Xserve print Q running OSX Server 10.2.3 the correct size paper comes out but with the job condensed down to an A4 in the middle of the sheet. Other jobs set in same way print fine. Any ideas?? Other issue some jobs never seem to come out, they leave the workstation and reach the Server Q and leave the Q but never print. Can't find any pattern to this issue. Last question I promise same setup as above, new document click on text start typing but the letters never show as if the keyboard was dead?
