When I'm in annotation mode of a view port and delete a note or anything, Vectorworks, crashes and shuts down. I tried reinstalling and same thing. I even tried putting on my other computer running XP pro and same thing. Any suggestions

I keep getting errors when trying to delete annotations in a viewport. I'm using VW12.5.1. Any suggestions on problem

I had to reinstall vworks and one setting I used to have was using ctrl+D to duplicate a object and it would ask me the distance. How do I get this to do it again????

Katie, Maybe i'm missing something but all I see in the .pdf is the new and modified features, nothing about the bugs that were fixed. If there is a fixed bugs list I don't see it in the .pdf

Peter, Double-click the schedule, Click on the cell you want to modify. In the upper left corner under the red X click the black down arrow. Click on format cells, then click dimension.

In the door schedule, under the "Door Operation" column, I would like to get the schedule to list thetype of door as "Swing" "Pocket" "slider" etc... not "Swing Simple", "Pocket Simple". How do you get the schedule to list this????????

Peter, Thanks, that was way to simple for me not to have picked up on it.

Since I loaded the update to VW12 to VW12.0.1, my window schedule does not function the same. For instance, my window elevation column now shows just ##### in it. The header is still set to =(window.elevation). I noticed in the settings area its called Elevation in Wall: Should I be changing the header in the schedule. I tried to change to =(window.ElevationInWall) but that does not work. Any ideas???????

I was wondering if there is a way to merge my notes database from VW11.5 to VW12. I opened a drawing that had General notes and when I accessed the database it opened the 11.5. The new notes I placed opened the VW12 database. Apparently now I have been running two dbases and need to merge all into VW12

I've seen several designs that were created with VW that show a completed building rendered with the outside walls faded so you can see thru them but you can still see the components of the faded walls. How is this done?????

How do I clean up an elevation viewport of a house to make it look. I used the create Section Viewport command to create my exterior elevations but it shows addition lines for the total roof thickness and wall lines where I had to split a wall to have that section of wall lower. The roof shows the top, the line for the rake fascia and the line under that for the total roof thickness. In a normal view you would not see the bottom roof thickness line as this would be behind the gable wall?????????????

Lets say I have a 16' wide x 24' deep garage. I'm in Massachusetts, so we have to have 48" frost walls with the concrete exposed for 8" from grade to bottom of siding. I need to split the wall for the overhead door and drop down 8" where this wall sits on the slab floor. How do I get the elevations not to show the wall split lines????
