  1. PVA - Admin's post in Full BIM Example Projects was marked as the answer
I am halfway through that email as we speak, I went digging and found the 404 error as well. That either means they're updating it or removing it and I suspect it's the former.
(In any case I have explicitly heard the Industry Specialists mention they want to make content exactly like you describe.)
  2. PVA - Admin's post in Ghost Object in Veiwport was marked as the answer
This file is haunted. It appears to be a planar object (goes off when Show Planar Objects is disabled) and it seems to reside in the None class, but even doing custom searches for text or rectangles/polys in that class on design layers yields only the expected normal geometry. Apologies, I'll submit this to engineering and see if they can find out what happened.
What version of MS Word were you using btw? That may be useful info for them.
  3. PVA - Admin's post in Cloud services not rendering 3d viewports was marked as the answer
Rendered as wireframe in Vectorworks? Or do you mean when you publish to Cloud Services the PDFs are coming back unrendered? This delay was only supposed to be for two hours yesterday morning, but it ran much longer. I have been told it should be functioning fine now, but any cloud jobs ran during the upgrade would have to be resubmitted.
  4. PVA - Admin's post in Can't login to Cloud Services was marked as the answer
I have been told by the Cloud team that they are doing "Things" and that it should be back "Soon." I will hold them to those lofty claims.
But yes, I suspect they are bringing not just the Cloud Services for Everyone, but also the Single Sign On system that will let users log in with Google or Facebook accounts.

Confirmed, submitting as a bug now. Thank you.

  6. PVA - Admin's post in What is "reputation" based on? was marked as the answer
It's cumulative for any Like/Dislike (The arrows at the bottom right of posts) votes across the entire forum. It IS a retroactive system though, so it may be someone up or downvoting much older posts. I actually had a few downvotes on some of mine from 2014 already, lol.
  7. PVA - Admin's post in Solar Animation stopping after 2 frames was marked as the answer
Is your iMac a 5k, or other retina resolution? We have had users hitting a problem when the display resolution of the animation (determined by the size of the drawing window) is high. You can confirm that this is the issue by resizing your drawing window to around a quarter of your screen size and trying the animation again.

I have this submitted as a bug currently.

Confirmed, but good news! Someone submitted this before me and a fix is in the works.

Excellent, thank you! Will take this to the next design meeting.
  11. PVA - Admin's post in Viewport OIP Layer and Classes was marked as the answer
Agreed. This is exactly how this should work. I suspect the reason it wasn't the same dialog or tab was because one existed before the other, and they were implemented by two separate engineers. Request submitted.

Very often I have found the reason that UI elements aren't combined was simply because engineers or engineering teams did not want to step on each others toes. Which, while very polite, leads to very obviously under-thought interfaces, we're working on that quite a bit. My role is a part of it but we are also assigning overall engineering managers for each of the various products so they can look at the larger picture and avoid extra clicks like we have here.
  12. PVA - Admin's post in Forum Code - Syntax Highlighting - Add Python Please was marked as the answer
This is an excellent idea, I will see if we can add this as a module.
  13. PVA - Admin's post in Layer Scale In tool bar Greyed out was marked as the answer
Not happening on Windows, I am able to edit the value in the scale bar directly there. Submitting this as a bug now. Moving thread to Known Issues.
    Thank you!

This issue is slated to be fixed shortly.
  17. PVA - Admin's post in SpaceMouse® Enterprise Support was marked as the answer
Support for 3DConnexions' range of hardware devices is indeed in the pipe and actively being developed now. Much of it specifically for the Enterprise model but apparently any work done for it will directly benefit any hardware that uses the 3DxWare software package's controls.
  18. PVA - Admin's post in Open GL Edge Line Weight Options was marked as the answer
A screen can not show a line that is smaller than a pixel, would this just make the line appear lighter in color if the line thickness was set to < 1 ?

  22. PVA - Admin's post in Chamfer and Fillet as Edge condition rather than fundamental geo-change was marked as the answer
This is how I feel they should be handled as well. These are often called "Deformers" or "Modifiers" in other software and are used to great effect. Adding this thread to my request.

  23. PVA - Admin's post in symbol for substractions was marked as the answer
Agreed, submitting request now. Currently you have to edit the Solid Subtraction and then exit the editing mode again to update it which isn't ideal. Solid subtraction stores the subtracted object as a 3d symbol, it doesn't extract the guts of the symbol or convert it to other geometry like you see with path-based objects, so I would think this would be doable.

  24. PVA - Admin's post in Treat NURBS Curves Like 3d Objects When Rendering was marked as the answer
I agree completely. Submitting request now for:
    1) NURBS curves being treated as edges (with no faces) in all rendering modes.
    2) 3D control of edge weights per-object or per object type, but the logistics of which will have to be hammered out, theres a few ways we could approach it.
    3) Filtering object visibility by Type, rather than just Class or Layer. This seems like it would most likely fit well in viewport overrides unless a more complex Tagging system is possible.

  25. PVA - Admin's post in Fix Batch Rendering of Viewports was marked as the answer
It isn't supposed to be any different at all, if it is then I consider that a bug.
Can you please send me any file that behaves this way for you to tech@vectorworks.net ATTN Jim, along with the batch output you got from it? I'll run the batch here, compare the results and submit.
