Are you tying to remove the larger blue extrude from the solid subtraction wall its currently positioned in?
 
The source object for this blue extrude has vertices within its perimeter, the extrude would have to be a single solid shape with no inner holes in this case. If you remove these extra inner holes from the polygon I suspect the subtract operation would work as expected:
 
 

This should be fixed as of 2017 SP2. Let me know if it does not seem to be.

(I am assuming by CAD you mean DWG for this response)
 
Change to a Top view (Not Top/Plan) and then export to DWG, normally when in Top/Plan it'll force things into 2D but in a 3D view it should maintain the z height of objects. Also, make sure "Export as flattened 2D objects" isn't enabled in the DWG export dialog box near the bottom center.

Would you agree with the sentiment here? 
 
This is one of the topics I've had on my shortlist for a comprehensive wishlist submission.

Just checked, It has not been fixed yet. It looks like a fix is planned but I do not know when. Adding this thread to the case.

It was an issue on Mac only from what I can recall, it was either corrected in SP1 or its slated to be fixed shortly.

Yep, just gotta wait on google to catch up. The large majority has already been indexed but it will take awhile for the old indexing to be retired on their end. For now, if you find an answer via google, you can just grab a snippet of the preview text in the body of the article from the google results list and search for that verbatim in ""s here on the forum search and you'll find it pretty quickly.

The Human Figure objects are most likely the issue then. They've been marked as Legacy and removed from the current workspace, I believe the plan is to replace that object type with a better and more efficient solution.

No, Run as Admin isn't supposed to matter for drag/drop import. It frequently DOES affect it, but not intentionally. Submitting this as a bug now.

Please do not combine requests like this in the future. Existing ones are fine, but separate threads for each request is how we want to handle things going forward.

This feature has been introduced in Vectorworks 2017.

Agreed, I filed a similar wish on letting users choose perspective-per-render-mode since like you, many want ortho wireframe and perspective opengl, myself included. Generally when I'm looking at front, side or rear views I'm going for aligning something properly in Z and don't want perspective, but otherwise I want to see solids. This should be completely user-configurable. Adding this to the request.

Not yet, no. This is one of the main reasons we will be adding Unicode support, but that won't happen for at least another year or so.

Seems like this issue was caused by a plugin becoming corrupted during installation. Any users that download the latest version of the installer (As of this post Installer 29 Build 327801, you can find the installer version number of your downloaded Zip or DMG file, on launch day it was version 26) will no longer encounter this bug. The Build number of Vectorworks will not be different, since the issue was with the installer and not the build of Vectorworks itself.
For users that are currently experiencing this problem, you should contact Tech Support directly for a manual fix.
Reinstalling with the newer installer version is also an option, the issue was in the Application folder itself so you can back up your vw preferences folder and restore it after reinstalling to avoid having to re-customize anything:

Shift-click works in List view, similarly to how Finder works, where you can shift click to select all items between two selected items in List or Column view, but not Icon view.
Many beta testers, myself included, were and are pushing to allow shift-click to work in all views. Because Apple doesn't always know best.

You rename it looking in the main document in the middle pane not the one on the left for now. The controls for renaming in the left column aren't working at the moment, the intention is to let it work similarly to how Finder on Mac or Explorer on Windows does, with delayed-two-click for rename and contextual menu for delete/rename.
For now though a lot often has to be done in the middle:
 

Using Tools > Workspaces > Edit the Current Workspace you can add Publish to your workspace. Most likely you have had yours carried over from a much older version before Publish existed.
