  4. Marc, First, are you using VectorWorks 12.5.1 or 12.5.3? If you are using the educational version you cannot update to 12.5.3. For this reason we suggested that our educational users request a free copy of VW 2008. Also to get a better idea of what is happening. Please sent one of your problematic files to tech@nemetschek.net

  8. To resolve the quantity problem open a blank document. Place one of the default 2008 plants on the drawing. Then go to your file and in the resource browser import the plant you placed in the new document into the your current file. You should get a message the the record format already exist. Choose to replace. When the plant list is recalculated the quantity should show.
  9. The Find-Replace Text command has to be done a file by file basis. Unfortunately, there is no way replace the text in more than one drawing at a time.
  10. Do you have the Use NURBS option unchecked in the Open GL Options? Also can you send in a small file with an example of this issue to tech@nemetschek.net?
  11. Hi Scott, As you stated, VectorWorks has a default lighting scheme so the addition of lighting devices is not necessary, but once a light is placed that default lighting scheme is hidden and only the lighting devices on that layer are used (regardless of if they are turned on or off). Also, OpenGL only renders up to eight lights in a drawing; additional lights have no effect. This could be the cause of your dark lighting. If you have more the 8 lights in the drawing Open GL will only utilize the first 8.
  12. Tobias, What rendering mode are you using? Also Could you please attach a snapshot of what exactly is it your seeing? Thanks,

  15. Hi, This issue with spaces and your palettes not appearing is an operating system issue, as other programs that use palettes experience the same problem. It should be fixed in some future Leopard update, so until it is resolved we would suggest disabling spaces. If you would still prefer to use spaces, you may want turn on the AutoSave feature found in your VW Preferences to prevent the lose of your work again.
  16. This issue was resolved in a previous update. 18. Hi, The workaround for this issue is go to Local Disk > Program Files > VW 2008 >right click >properties>compatibility>select XP Pro service pack 2. Apply changes. Export to DXF/DWG should work after changing.
  19. By default there a selection handle just to the left of right of the tag. With the 2D selection tool, place the cursor over the selection handle until you get the resize cursor then move the tag to change the length of the leader.
  20. Hi, First quit VW then go to HD > Username > Library > Application Support > VectorWorks > Workspaces > and delete all of the workspace files. Then launch VW. 25. VW 12.5 users running VectorWorks on Intel Macs must open the program using Rosetta to import SketchUp files. If after running in Rosetta, when attempting to import a SketchUp file, nothing happens the likely cause is version of the Sketchup File. VW 12 supports SketchUp 5 and earlier. If you try importing a SketchUp 6 file in VW 12, nothing will happen. VectorWorks 2008 does support SketchUp 6 and does not require opening the program with Rosetta to import the SketchUp files.
