  1. Hey Conrad, There is still some weirdness around the worksheets to the devices themselves.. I updated the "loc_rack" and rack u on the device report and it's not pushing to the devices themselves. I've actually removed the RK-01 reference from the project (no more actual rack, all panel based) and can't get that TPC device to update..
  2. Yeah - found them at the base level. Didn't look the other day. Thanks! I think they must have just been left over from 2020. There were a lot of things within this drawing which I had to redo. One of them was any piece of rack gear which I made as a device but didn't set the RU attribute when creating the device. When I updated the rack view, it created a new device on the rack drawing without the settings I manually did on the rack page even though there was an existing one in the same place already in that spot. Another thing I noticed in 2020 was that you can connect to both sides of a data termination panel. 2021 doesn't seem to let you. I have to move a side off temporarily, connect the 2nd part then manually move it back. I'm going to send the 2020 version of this for you to look at.
  3. Hey Conrad, I didn't do anything crazy to get there. I did do the majority in 2020 and then converted to 2021 and its had many revisions. So maybe something with that? I did that and looks like the data is correct. However it does not seem to be adding the work sheets back into the resource manager. Is there a way to add them back into there? I suppose I probably dont really need them in there, but good to know.
  4. Hello, When running "Current Layer Cable Report", It seems no matter what layer i'm on, its pulling up the same list of source/destination device items with its associated cable type (from a layer not shown/selected), but the Cable number, rack and rack space number is being filled by the shown layers data. Attached is one of the devices and numbered cable sets, as well as the report data with some of these on it. You can clearly see something is very wrong with the data and certainly not lining up with the numbers and associated devices.
  5. Well its actually missing a few letters which is random. Was this maybe by design?
  6. Looks like someone needs to learn their ABC's again 😛 Can't select I as a panel letter. I'm just clicking modify array in properties.
  7. Hey All, When using the rack frame in 2021, text now rotates 90. Is there a way to flip that back and make it fit or at least adjustable? Changing the text options with item selected doesn't do anything.
  8. 2nd this and seeing the same issue. Almost same hardware.
  9. Hey Conrad - Apologies but I didn't mean it in a negative way toward you/team just more that its completely unintelligible since everything is just piled in and its a blob of text. No frustrations here, just would love it if there is something that could be adjusted or the team can be improved on. The wording was poor judgment on my part, but certainly not a negative intention towards VW. I'm very appreciative on how helpful you all are and that you are always looking to improve things. Regarding the grid spacing - is this where its shown (attached)? Can't remember off the top of my head.
  10. Yeah there are a lot of improvements in 2021. Traditionally I've always avoided a first release (terrible past experiences) but I have to say its pretty solid and this was fixed. 2020 Build: 25.0.5 (562257)
  11. Just tried 2021 and is fixed in this version. Also much better with text sizing!
  12. Few requests surrounding Term panels: #1 - Multi-connect: I have a couple drawings where I'm doing ~800 patch panel ports from a MDF to a bunch of IDF's using Data Term Panels. I've had to hand-wire every port manually. It would be sooooooo appreciated if we had the ability to use Multi-connect with Data Term Panels. Its a major bummer that it doesn't work, even on the same sheet. #2 - Naming: When adding location info, wiring numbers, port type and connector, its a freaking disaster. See screen shot. It would be great to space this out more or at least have the ability to better organize term panels. One suggestion is more of a header with location info which would remove a good portion of the mess. Also, maybe the option to custom letter/number within the term panel wizard opposed to the dropdown. Customization has to be done on each jack if it doesn't fit in the formatting. Some times people use letters in there. #3 - Better type support: I commonly use what I call "Media Cable". Its a bundle of wire with multiple things. One of them is 3x cat6, 1x coax. I've been trying to lay these more into patch panels. On the MDF side, I'll put individual term panels for video and data, but on the room side, these commonly land within one term panel (aka keystone wall plate). Would be awesome to have maybe something that could be more of a mix n' match term panel, something like a common types group - ie 4x keystone plate where we can populate connectors. Or would this be better suited using connector panels? This seems more centered around just rack or custom neutrik style connectors. Probably 98% of my projects use keystones and this is very universally used (even for rack patch panels) so maybe there is a viable reason to have a keystone connector/panel tool?
  13. Oddly enough - removing the cable type, spaces it back out - Looks like the math is reversed coming in the left side.
  14. Looks like there is an issue drawing the far end with spacing when going between data panels and different pages. See the two screen shots for the same run.
  15. Actually I just realized that if the last set of them is highlighted, when re-opening the tool, it will not allow you to make a new set.. Kind of weird though.
  16. Hey - I'm pretty sure there is some issue with the logic on the jack panel wizard unless I'm just using it incorrectly. After creating a panel with 24 jacks (using repeat), I'm not able to make subsequent panels - the repeat number doesn't ever refresh.Video attached. If I can put in a request here - I'd way rather just have a custom named panel and # of ports over the drop down list of selected group/panel/port. And well to make it cleaner on the schematic, wish this would just have the title of the set of jacks and the jack numbers below in a little block or something. But I'd rather it work first 🙂 Screen Recording 2020-08-17 at 2.24.28 PM.mov
  17. Got it. In the interim - if I create a virtual device of the same name, will that break it? Or I suppose I can just tag the power port for now.
  18. This is great. Is there a way to expose that device within schematics for the power supply?
  19. Confirming this did in fact work. Thanks.
  20. Hey All, I'm honestly really lost on how to correctly use a modular device. I'm trying to draw a Crestron DMF-CI-8 and DM-NVX-351C devices - 8 of which fit within a DMF chassis. Is there instructions on how to do this? I'm unable to find really anything about it.
  21. Hello - I called in but they weren't sure. So I figured you might be quicker to respond here. When clicking the "Terminator" tool in the tool sets menu, I get an error message. "An error occurred while opening the plug-in. Make sure that the plugin is located in the "Plug-ins" folder located in the User Data and Preferences folder...." I tried the reinstall option from the updater and no dice. And I've replaced the entire User folder and no dice either.
  22. Hi Nikolay, One file with arrows. Will private message you now.
  23. Hey - I keep having issues with devices having wires between schematic pages. Sometimes I have to move devices and then it just falls apart. The wire tags won't lock to the object socket then it disconnects. Dragging back to pin doesn't reconnect it. Refreshing links doesn't do anything. Copy and pasting will sometimes paste right, other times it has random connections missing. Any input?
  24. Thanks Conrad - very helpful. Couple more things: 1) how can I change the text color of connector labels on a device? Currently magenta. 2) can we add additional signal types (like Cresnet is missing for example) and connector types? I'd love to customize this list to not be so long. I'm never in my life going to use SCART or half of the others on here
