  1. Hello Aldo, I'll message you directly to discuss this further. Best, Cory
  2. Hi Jamie, I'll follow up with a message to schedule a call. Thanks!
  3. Hi Jeff, I'll follow-up up with a direct message. -Cory
  4. Thanks for reaching out, Dennis! I'll follow-up tomorrow (Tue 1/3) with a direct message containing some additional info and a few questions about the project.
  5. Absolutely, Michael. Currently on site, but will follow-up directly before the day's end. Thanks!
  6. Thanks Jesse for the detailed analysis and explanation!
  7. I have a number of callouts in a file in where the leader line extends underneath the text; see attached. I'm hoping that's a setting I can turnoff on all existing callouts to match the typical/standard leader. Any input is appreciated. CALLOUT.vwx
  8. Thanks for your interest in my posting, Jenna. I'll follow-up now with a direct message to discuss this opportunity.
  9. Yeah, good workaround. I thought of that, but am trying to keep with existing nomenclature on the file.... they previously have ungrouped labels then added edited numbers, but I'd like to keep such items intact. Thanks though for the input!
  10. Is there a setting to turn off/stop Drawing Labels from automatically assigning number values? I may place three labels on one sheet that automatically assign values 1, 2, and 3. When I maybe want them to be 1.0, 2.0, and 2.1
  11. Way to think... great work around! Not perfect, but workable. I'll work on this some more and update the post with any progress or more questions. Thanks again!
  12. Thanks? Very thorough... I learned a few things following those steps. I was glad to see (in the dual) there's even an option to show the dimensions in inches... never considered this until this project. But, I need the dimensions to show inches ONLY. I anticipate/hope this could be achieved by creating a separate dimension standard? Then I'd only need to select the dimension(s) that set to show inches ONLY? Or am I hoping for too much?
  13. I have a number of standard dimensions on a plan drafted as feet and inches. Is there a way to 'convert' (change the settings) to show them as inches only?
  14. While I currently reside in Colorado and am largely looking for additional remote freelance work, I am interested and available to relocate for the right in-person position.
  15. With 15 years Vectorworks-specific experience my work has focused largely on drafting construction documents (cover-to-cover) for a variety of architecture studios; as well as interior design firms, landscape design firms, and homeowners alike. These projects have largely been high-end custom homes; as well as spec-homes, multi-unit housing, and light commercial. In addition to my drafting experience I possess a diverse background in the construction industry (from roles as a carpenter-to-site superintendent) affording me a unique perspective on developing a plan set or being tasked with any number of items; such as reviewing schedules, researching building/zoning codes, and construction detailing. So if you’re currently seeking Vectorworks 2D drafting/3D modeling assistance, please message me directly for a detailed resume and to schedule a video call to review my work samples. 16. Very cool! Thanks for taking the time, Tom... this is a big help.
  17. Thanks, Jonathan. And understood. Maybe I'm not describing this correctly or missing something viewing this in 3D. Let's take a stock window that's 6" deep. But with a passive wall you may have multiple insulation sheets on the exterior and then sheathing (Zip Board). Now I want the exterior jamb of the 6" deep window to be flush with the Zip Board face. So extension jamb aside for a moment (lets concentrate on the 6" deep" window, can that 6" window be moved in-or-out of a wall via dimension or matching a component face (like the latest attachment)... maybe the 'extension' jambs/sills can be worked out with the trim tool or a second line drawing if necessary. SAMPLE 2.vwx
  18. Could use some input on this topic. Several times I've wanted to offset (change object wall depth) windows and doors in a floor plan. The driver behind this has to do with walls that are built-up due to a rain screen assembly or maybe a passive house. I'm attaching a mock-up of my desired outcome and would appreciate any feedback on how to get there. Thanks SAMPLE.vwx
  19. No no no, your input is greatly valued... smart ass or not. I'll get into this tomorrow and let you know how I make out. Thanks!
  20. Does anyone know why the Reference Markers I'm using keep adding a "/" at the end of the Drawing Number (see attached)?MARKER QUESTION.vwx
  21. So I just installed and reinstalled VWX (again) and it's resolved this issue, and others. Thanks again for your input.
  22. Thanks for the reply, Tom. To be clear, that Bottom Offset -1'-0" is what is showing in the file I sent? You didn't make that adjustment, correct? Mine shows that as 0" (see attached). And I immediately went to that setting in the first place on this example and others. I even exaggerated them to -100' on various wall components. And it had zero impact.
  23. Attached is a styled wall where the sheathing/finish component runs lower than the other to conceal the slab. I explored the component settings and such, but would greatly appreciate input on how this is achieved... haven't seen it before, but understand it's value/application.WALL COMPONENT QUESTION.vwx
  24. Don't know what I'm missing here... diving into rendering again after a hiatus. Attached I have two columns. One is visible solid/brown (per texture assignment) and is on None class. The second was on None class until I changed it to Demo class (Use at Creation is not selected). The column is no longer visbily solid/brown (no texture). If I change the Demo class textures setting to Use at Creation and select the brown texture it corrects itself. But I don't want to set an entire class attribute to remedy an isolated issue. The render tab on the Object Info Pallette does have this brown texture selected, btw. ThanksRENDER ISSUE.vwx
  25. Hey Pat. Sorry for the delayed reply. Finally uninstalled and reinstalled. Things are running better. Your response was thorough and helpful as always.
