  1. Just found the issue..! Apologies - simple answer - I have 2 x worksheet folders for some reason.... Its not until I posted the screen grabs I spotted this...
  2. Hi there Im having an issue with "disappearing" worksheets from the resource browser... Working on a large drawing with many worksheets. When I open the resource browser to work on the sheets, there is always only 1 worksheet showing (and the worksheet that is showing isn't in the file). If I right click on a worksheet that is in the drawing & select "Locate worksheet in resource browser", all of the missing worksheets show up. If I leave the resource browser on my folder with worksheets in - they always show up when going back to the resource browser. If I leave the resource browser having looked at a different folder (Lighting / Rigging etc) then when clicking back to the Worksheet folder in the Resource browser, there is only one worksheet - and as mentioned above, this worksheet isn't even in the file. Yes, the work around is to continuously right click a worksheet in the drawing & select "Locate", but this appears to be a bug of some sort? I only have one drawing open so its not selecting folders from a different drawing. Apologies - the screenshots have had to be redacted slightly - and I cant share the file. Ive not tried on other drawings as yet. Any pointers grateful recieved. Cheers Ant Hall MacBook Pro 16inch 2023 / M2 Max / 64GB ram / Sonoma 14.2.1 / VWX 2024 3.1 - Design Suite & Braceworks
  3. Hi Pat thanks for this. I’ll give it a go in the morning when I’m back at the laptop many thanks
  4. Hi all im wondering if it’s possible to use conditional formatting in data tags? For example. I have a hoist data tag showing load (using braceworks). If the load is over 75% then turn the fill for that text field orange etc etc… does anyone know if this is possible? thanks in advance
  5. Ah! I didn't have all of the Braceworks commands in my workspace!...wow, what an idiot... Thanks so much - all good now!
  6. Just DM'd you the file - many thanks
  7. Thanks for the feedback @jcogdell Ive been back in to the drawing and tried every way to change the trim height & they all work & move the hoists with the truss symbols. Ive re drawn it without converting to hanging positions & understand the comments re data tags (with which I am familiar). There really does seem to be a massive issue with connecting the hoists to the trusses, and also in the way Braceworks reports this. If I system check all objects I get the attached image (system check all objects.png) If I select everything and run System Check Selection I get the same result. If I select just everything on the upstage, I get the attached image (System check selection) - and similarly if I just select the downstage stuff If I select everything, I get the same result as if I'd system checked all objects.... This is a fairly simple system, but for the life of me I cannot get the hoists to be connected. Ive watched the Braceworks demo video many times now & Im stumped. Ive tried re snapping in 3D, side, end, plan etc etc - same result every time - I get the red snap line & triangle so its definitely connecting in some way, but Braceworks thinks otherwise. Any other help you can offer would be much appreciated... Many thanks
  8. Hi all Having just started down the road with Braceworks, my first issue is that I dont seem to have the hoists "connect" to the truss systems. I have a bunch of trusses and change them to hanging positions. I insert hoists with the hoist tool and snap to the red lines etc - all good so far. If I move the system height, the hoists move correctly. When I run the Braceworks "Check all system objects" I get the attached screen grab - which to me indicates that the hoists are not associated, or connected, to any truss....is that correct? Can someone tell me what Im doing wrong?! Many thanks! Ant
  9. @klinzey - Thanks for the response - that makes sense. Ill give that a go. Many thanks ...
  10. Hi there - Im running an MBP with vision & Chamsys onPC (the same MBP) - I can only get vision to connect to the virtual desk when I have a valid IP (ie, Im on a network). I cannot get it to connect on a 127.0.0.1 address. Im doing a lot of programming sat in fields (!) so this is an issue...how do I get Vision to work on a 127.0.0.1 (loopback) address please? Many thanks (Vision 2021)
  11. @JustinVH Thank you for the offer! Correct - Litec doesn't seem to be in any of the libraries (and I am a Service Select member). The straight trusses have been relatively simple to turn in to truss symbols, but the dado corner block is proving hugely frustrating trying to set the snap points! If you have any pointers for creating the dado Id be very grateful! Cheers AntHall
  12. Hi Pat - thanks for this also - many options! Cheers
  13. Hi Mark Sure did - many thanks...I had seen that option during various processes of trying to fix this & thought Id been through that particular hoop - but its worked this time around, so very happy - thank you.
  14. Hi all you knowledgable people... Im a relative newly to VW after over 20 years in AutoCAD...however, Im enjoying the switch! I have a question regarding symbols created in VW & their orientation in the resource browser. I have created a bunch of hybrid (2d/3d) symbols, but their orientation in the resource browser is not as they were created - 2 of the symbols are rotated by 90 degrees. This usually wouldn't be a problem, but Im now going down the road of transforming these symbols in to truss units, and this affects how they are inserted / joined to existing trusses... Is there a way to rotate the symbol in the resource browser at all? Ive attached a couple of screen grabs to show what I have...for instance, the 1.5Mtr section of truss was created as per the screen grab of the vw main screen - however, the resource browser shows it spun through 90 degrees..I can see no reason for this? Many thanks for any pointers... AntHall
