  1. Hey all...I just wanted to start playing with my VizDongle and installed the latest update of Vision 2021. As I tried to change the DMX Provider I got 6 error messages. All gelong to ArtNet, sACN and Multiinput. I can chose MA-Net2 and MA-Net3 and its working. Mean I don't need sACN and Artnet but error messages are a pain ;-) I attach the error messages belonging that protocols. I already deinstalled Vision, deleted all folders and reinstall it....same problem. Therefor I thought it might happen cause Vision 2020 was installed, but also that was deinstalled and then Vision 2021 fresh....same problems. Any idea?
  2. Hey Mark, in all these fixtures which are new. I updated the Vectorworks library and also the Vision. In Vision all is working but in Vectorworks I don't get these fixtures modes. There are no modes for CLF fixtures and also not for the American DJ RX One. But how can I solve the problem in my library? Update didn't help. Regards Thomas
  3. Hi all, thanks to Mark here who arranged it to get the fixture request for vision done fast. I have the symbols for the requested fixtures already in Vectorworks, but the DMX-profiles of these fixtures are missing in VWX. In Vision all works smooth, but its a pain in the ass to exchange the fixtures in Vision all the time. Any idea how to get the DMX profiles into Vectorworks? With the VWX-files they are not integrated....or do I have some settings missing? Best Thomas
  4. I use SP4 R1 (Build 550627) in Vectorworks (but the German version provided from Computerworks). In Vision its used v25.0.4.549680, guess its the actual version so far. Import settings are: Millimeter, Use Fixture Types from: Vision (maybe that is my mistake that I have to choose GDTF?)...but even use of this setting bring the same result, plus the DARTZ360 are not shown up anymore. And as as u mentioned...test.mvr is not using GDTF version at all (it just use the DMX-version). The file test-gdtf.mvr should use for both fixtures (Mega Pointe and DARTZ369) the GDTF Version. But the GDTF for the DARTZ360 are created myself, so maybe there is a problem in my creation as well. My computer is Windows 10 64bit, 64GB RAM, nVIDIA GeForce 2080 Super, AMD Ryzen 9-3900X, M2-SSD+SSD, Windows is also up to date. So far it all works well and all imports made in ESC are working fine.
  5. sure....I didn't safe the file yesterday but created it just new....same settings and same result ;-)...I attached the original MVR-Files from yesterday as well. test.mvr test.vwx test-gdtf.mvr
  6. I got a problem with GDTF Fixtures in Vision (they also don't work like expected in grandMA3....but this has other difficulties 😉 )....I made this as test with Robe Megapointe (GDTF + DMX Chart from Vectorworks and additional some Elation DARTZ360 (GDTF created myself). All time as I use the fixtures exported to MVR from vectorworks with GDTF setting, the light source is far above over the fixtures (see pic MVR-GDTF.jpg). If I export the Fixtures without GDTF setting (only DMX channel mode...see pic MVR-DMX.jpg) all works fine. If I adjust Pan/Tilt values over my console the beam circluate around the fixture (black body) as center. If I use the fixture in grandMA3 it all works fine, only Vision show a different behaviour. Plus also for example the Prism's don't work in GDTF mode, in DMX mode all is fine. Anyone does have an idea about where to solve the problem....or is this like favorite MA phrase: Its not implemented yet.
  7. Any news about the update problem for Library? And what about the fixture Profiles? For me it was as well a purchase decision for Vision to be able to get fixtures within 72 business hours. And now I must see that the support is not proving :-(. I am waiting already over 2 weeks for the fixtures, also for the possibility to update the library.
  8. Thanks for the answer Mark. As there are right now now shows I guess I better wait instead of trying to create the fixtures in GDTF 😉
  9. Hey there, I send nearly 2 weeks ago a request about creating 4 fixtures (formular on the website) for Vision but still got no answer from Vectorworks. Anyone has a contact option to request them again or to get an answer when I could expect these fixtures? I provided my contract details as well....so I expected, as they wrote to get them asap. Another problem which I heard here is that there is an problem with updating the library. Is there already an answer when this bug will be solved or which settings need to be done in Windows to update the library? Best regards Thomas
  10. First of all you should select as output in Resolume NDI. The assign a NDI Vidio source onto an object in Vision. If you create your design with Vectorworks in advance make sure to add a Vision video source onto that object. At best it works on LED screens or Canvas. In Vision later you have to chose which NDI stream is for which object. You can assign the same stream on different objects and crop it in case its needed.
  11. Hey everyone. I used to program shows with Vision 2020 and 2 fixtures show strange behaviour. As I use Elation Smarty Hybrid and Elation Proteus Hybrid in my file. So far everything works fine, but the choice of Prism is strange. at Smarty Hybrid: If using Prism 1 (its a circular 16 facette prism) the lights get blackout. Prism 2 (a linear 4 facette Prism) works fine and Prism 3 (combination of Prism 1 and 2) I get a standard beam without any Prism. at Proteus Hybrid: If using Prism 1 (its a circular 8 facette prism) I get shown a 4 facette prism which is far away from the original version. Prism 2 (a linear 4 facette prism) I get shown a normal beam and Prism 3 (combination of Prism 1 and 2) I get a standard beam without any Prism as well. I also think that the Focus is not working correct either. Could this be updated? I am tired to exchange all time fixtures to get a propper working system. In worst case I would need to switch over again to Wyg which would be a pain cause I need to convert the vectorworks file either. The 2nd painful problem is the orientation of fixtures. If I draw them correct in VW and export the file to Vison some fixtures hang the wrong way. Its a pain in the ass to handrotate every fixture in Vision (I have often around 200 fixtures to rotate). When will this bug finally be solved in Vision?
  12. Thanks, I did that but can't chose the dll...its not offered. I use a windows 10 machine. But will try it again.
  13. I am testing the demo version and can't connect it to MA Net2. Is this protocol enabled? Only before I buy the software I want to make sure how it works and how the I can see the movements of movinglights (I work mostly on EDM shows and so I want to render fast movements which for sure don't work well in GrandMA 3D. The alternative to Vision is Realizzer, there the movements are like in real....so I wanna give it a try in Vision).
