Hi All. I think this has been discussed before but couldn’t find it, and I think I know the answer. is there a way to insert an object (Structural member, pipe, truss anything) and give it a UDL limit to be included in calcs? currently working on a plan where the venue has bars with a 50kg p/m UDL limit. my current work around is I made a symbol for a 1m length of pipe, converted it to truss and then made a “truss system” out of them (example 10 to make a 10m pipe) with deadhangs in the middle of each 1m pipe. this is working; however it’s very tedious to creat etc.

Howdy. first time setting up a project sharing file and I’m having an issue with the user permissions. When I go in to a user and change their permission level; it says “writing to project file” as expected. When that’s complete I close the user window to return to the main project settings and the users permission level hasn’t change. same goes for changing the “new users” permission. Project file is based on Google drive which is set to available offline on my computer (so not running off cloud only access)

Howdy! I have some libraries added in through a workgroup, which show up in the resource browser no issue. However if im using a plugin tool (Example being Lighting Device) the workgroup files dont appear in the tools resource browser. So to use any symbol from the WG Libraries i have to import it into the working file to find and use for a tools symbol See screen shot show showing "Select a Lighting Symbol" dropdown with no workgroup libraries next to Resource Manager show that there are Workgroup libraries

Hello! I have a bunch of angled trusses (so 3D only symbol) which when i try to convert to a hanging position will no longer display in plan view (however it will before i convert) Is this a bug? or is there a way to get the 3D geometry to display in Plan view?

Hello! Is there a way to insert a connection between a Pipe and an ANGLED truss? I have several raked trusses in my plan and have pipes sat accross them horizontally at 90 degrees for lights to out rig from. I would (obviously) like to connect these to the truss for load calculations however when trying to use the insert connection tool i get the error "Tilted rigging objects can't be stacked" I can use the insert drop tool however thats not how the pipes are being attached. My annoying work around is to group the pipe and lights together (for easy selection) and putting an equivelent point load on the truss but i have to remember to deselect the groups when performing calculations (slightly tedious when there's 12 of these spread out through the drawing) Thanks! Howdy. I have done some exploring on this already but im not having any luck. Trying to add another manufacturer to the Hoist Tool. I have opened the hoist symbol library and created the symbols i need and then tried going in to the "HoistVW" plug-in and adding another line to the manufacture however the plug-in/Tool isnt updating to suit the library. Any suggestions on how to fix this? (Using VW/BW 2020 still)

Hi Everyone. My vectorworks has just bugged out on me, working on a file with a curved blended screen in it, had no issues for weeks then today the screen has straightened its self out and i cant make it a curve again. Even on a brand new document i have lost the ability to do a curved screen. Was running SP2 until this morning AFTER i noticed the issue at which point i updated to SP4 in case that was the issue. Any suggestions?
