  1. I'm doing a simple Extrude Along Path from point A to B with a rectangle profile. After extrusion the shape is rotated. How can I fix this?
  2. This whole section viewport system is incredibly convoluted. It needs to be simplified. Why don't section/elevation markers obey class visibility like everything else?
  3. I've used the this technique a few times and now I'm getting strange triangles rendered all over wall objects. Foreground render: Hidden Line Background render: Artistic Renderworks; Lines and Shadow I double checked smoothing angle and other settings, but nothing gets rid of these triangles: When I switch to only HL the problem goes away. When I switch to Renderworks Final for background the problem also goes away. So it seems this is caused by the Artistic Renderworks option.
  4. I just experienced this problem. Yet another big inconsistency in this app. You constantly have to redo the math when you resize the window. Vectorworks, please change it to angle.
  5. If you're going to be a 3D program, basic UV mapping for ALL objects is a fundamental principle. This is a head-smacking-the-wall level of omission here. I got here because you can't make a 2D extrusion and have it show up as a filled object in plan unless you make it a symbol and add 2D representation (who has time for all that?). Ok, fine let's do a slab instead. Whoops, you can't do UV on it for your 3D renderings. Go back to start. You're being asked to run around the block to get to the front door. Why is this so complicated?
  6. How is this still an issue in version 2023? Symmetry and mirroring are key parts of design. Vectorworks is wildly inconsistent with basic drawing principles.
  7. Really surprising that this is massive inconsistency is still broken as of March 2023. I get around it by duplicating textures and rotating them, but for custom angles it's impossible. Please fix this ASAP Vectorworks.
  8. I'm trying out 2018 for the first time... After finally figuring out that I need to use Unstyled walls, I still cannot change their thickness. The input field is greyed out. Why can't I simply input the wall thickness in Object Info? That used to be possible in 2012 as far as I remember.
