Cable Tools: any way to remove the (xx' extra) from the Length Display?

Heyyyy - this makes me sad ...... I don't want that "extra" word in there .....Also, how do I change the fill color .... right now my text defaults to yellow background. And all the images I see online has no fill. Mwah.
