  1. I've gotten a model of a X-37b that I need to edit to insert a cylinder into its back for wind tunnel testing. However, the model was delivered in a mesh format, and I cannot perform the necessary edits on it. The easiest and most familiar way for me would be to convert the object to a single solid (rather than the mesh or the 5,354 3D polygons it is, depending on the moment) and make some easy subtractions, but I seem unable to do that. Any help? Can I convert the object from a mesh to a solid, or another format to a solid? Is there anything that can be done?
  2. Hello @JimW it's me, another person having the same problem, but with an additional question. Does the extension give you access to the latest VW iteration, or does it confine you to the year which you received the software, which in my case was 2016?
  3. I downloaded VW as a student in 2016, and I recently applied for an extension to get back into the modeling world and have some fun. As I'm waiting for my extension, I noticed that the download offered to me is only for VW 2016. Is there a way I could get VW 2018, and if so, should I? There are a few things I'd like to save from previous projects, but I'm not sure how to convert the files, and in general I like being up to date on software. So, yeah.
