  1. Thanks so much, both of you. I'm off and running now. Enjoy your day.
  2. Is it possible to have dual dimensions of different scales? I'm working on a plan for a 1:78 scale diorama. I'd like my dimensions to show in that scale and also in 1:1 for ease of material planning. Any help is much appreciated.
  3. To fix the zoom crashing I disabled Enhanced Navigation Graphics in VW Preferences. The High DPI scaling override did the trick for legibility and I didn't need to lower the res to something lower/16:9. Thanks for your thoughtful responses!
  4. This is for VW 2013 I recently bought a new laptop. The dxdiag.txt is attached. It doesn't have a dedicated graphics card. I'm having an issue where once I zoom scroll the screen stops updating. The menus and cursor work ok, but the drawing area is frozen and I have to restart the application. I know my graphics chip hasn't had good performance but I'd assume I could manage simple lines which is all I really need on my laptop for roughing out basic dimensions. Drop down menus on 4k are tiny. Some menus are clipped so you can only see half the values. I have my windows scaling set to 200% (225% is recommended) but upping it didn't seem to help. Any 4K setup tips would be welcomed. DxDiag.txt
  5. Thanks for your reply! I created 2D symbols. With your help I was able to do the following: I made a record I can apply to symbols that can automatically assign it to new inserted symbols. Now I'd like to create one sheet to show more than one record. I'd also like to only show the total for the sheet and not each item. (2.1, 2.2, 2.3 etc) Do I need to show zero values? I added them so there would be a column whether there is an ingredient value or not since more symbols will be added later.
  6. You have to be so picky about what words you use to search I'm not sure what to google. If you could help me find the right words that would be appreciated. To put it as simply as possible. I made some objects. I want to assign them values. In this case it's ingredients and the number of each required per object. I want to feature a self updating worksheet on my plans where I can drop 3 objects in and it totals the ingredients needed. (and lists the individual cost too) Thank you in advance.
  7. Hello, I used vectorworks 10.5-12 back in 2004. I'd like to get back into that program but I purchased a license of 2009 and it wouldn't authenticate and support wouldn't help me because it was out of the support period. As frustrating as that is for me I'm still looking for a copy that can be purchased and authenticated. I'm not a professional (anymore) but I miss putting ideas down in CAD and I am looking for a bargain. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.
