I have just upgraded to 10.5.1. Why do all files on the desktop open in Viewer if I double click at them? I tried to put the shortcut of VW application in the dock, but it will only open a demo version of VW with pop-up messages that say "No Plug-in(or Workspaces) folder in the same folder as your application" which doesn't make sense cos they are there.. I'm a little behind times, but I still have 10.0.0. and want to update to 10.1.2. However, I can't seem to find the earlier updates before 10.1.2. Are they downloadable or do I have to purchase them? Thanks in advance.

Is there a way not to have class names automatically assigned to the plug-in objects such as doors, and windows? I want to streamline my classes. Thanks in advance

this may have been discussed before, but I would like to know if there's any way to override automatic class naming whenever I insert, say a door (it automatically creates class:Door-Main) or a reference symbol, etc. Thanks

my windows disappear from the wall, leaving holes in the wall. I'm unable to delete them, and all my classes are on. Any clues? Thanks

Is there anyway to control placement of the text to the right corner of the "Bubbled" area? It can only be left or right justified, and both ways, it overlaps my drawings...

new user i have set my VW so that the default class names are not active. therefore, i can name my own class however, why are the object (e.g. detail bubble, elev marker) still connected to the "none" class? these objects would only be visible if i have both "none" class and their own class on. Can somebody shed some light on this for me please? OS10.2.1 VW10

Robert, i did realize that text disappear mainly if it's Graphite font. and it happens on and off, so no specific way to nail down when it's going to happen. As for the doors and windows, the files were created in VW8.5 on OS 9.2 and now we are using VW10 on OS10.2.1 doors and windows don't seem to convert very well. the doors' attributes changed from no fill to solid, some needed to be repositioned in the wall because somehow they got shifted and not residing within the wall anymore. this time, i notice if i update to V2 object on this file, the portion of wall adjacent to the door jams disappear. or if i insert a new door into the wall, the wall would disappear. what can be the problem? i don't want to have to redraw the entire drawing in VW10. cut and paste doesn't help. Tried that.

Robert, the text wasn't grey out like you described. When it disappear, it looks as if no text was ever inserted. I am using Graphite font like CipesDesign. I haven't tried extensively with other fonts, but it happened with my "drawing label" which uses Arial Narrow. Any thoughts about the portion of wall disappearing when windows or doors are inserted?

I have couple of problems since upgrading to VW10 and OS10.2.1 1. text will disappear from screen when zooming in or out. I'd have to re-zoom in or out so as to make the text reappear again. This happens on and off. 2. portions of wall adjacent to door jambs disappear after a while, especially switching sheets, and I would have to remove the doors/windows from the wall and reinsert them. I have called the tech support and they told me to do Update to V2 objects, which didn't help, and couldn't tell me why the text disappear and reappear. does this have to do with the file conversion? (but some windows and doors are created in VW10). help. somebody?
