I think so, I know that the player works. Thing is, this problem only started after I downloaded the newest version of QuickTime. I trashed the latest one[5?] that I had just downloaded prior to running into this problem

Your comment about viewports, from what friends who use viewports tell me, printing is a real pain in the ...viewport. I have used layer linking as a way to show (dynamically) the same detail at larger or smaller scales.

My hope is for better work group references. In VW8.5 work group references works, but be prepared for lots of GOK's (God Only Knows). I would be interested in knowing if work group references work any better in VW10.

Thanks I will tell him about this. But as for your comment about the = command. I know that on the Mac side in VW8.5, (and before my client updated to VW9 on the PC side) typing the = twice in rapid succession was the same as double clicking on the rotate tool. A box opened that allowed the rotational angle to be typed. With your comments, I take it to mean this is accomplished with a different shortcut now? (the "4" key typed twice also would bring him to create a rectangle it only selects the rectangle tool now. Has this also changed?) I find his shortcut keys seem to be "hit or miss" often he has to move the mouse to select the arrow tool then the keyboard shortcuts will work (sort of). Is the answer in the manual, or is it in the fact that my client uses a clone Window machine (and windoz98)?

I get the message right away before the programme starts. I have tried double clicking on files, the programme, as well as an alias.

I am a Mac user. I delivered a client a drawing who is a PC user. He has a question I can't answer. In Vector Works 9.5 (PC) some keyboard commands (rotate the "=" typed twice for example) hi-lites the rotate tool but does not take him to the box where one can type say 45degrees. I have looked in preferences and workspace but have not found his answer. Any thoughts?

Thanks for the reply, Vector Works is what does not launch. I have done all the standard stuff, rebuilt desktop, started without extensions, run Norton, trashed down loads from the past week, and re-installed the programme. All with no luck. My last thought is to wipe the drive and re-install everything.

Before I re-initialize my drive...any one have VW 8.5 running on MAC system 8.2 that for some reason will not start because of an "Unexpected Error"?

[Where has the "Join" tool gone?]

I have been helping a new user get up to speed with ARCHITECT 9.5 and found that the "Join" command (apple-J) seems not to be available. (I did a HELP search-with no luck.) Any hints as to how to connect walls or lines?
