  1. Nah! It's at least a Bently!
  2. I have had this prob. with VW 10 files opened in VW12. Re-importing the image fixed the problem. VW12.5.1 Intel MAC Mini OSX
  3. Did X to the power of y Struct. plans in the past Z years without this boat anchor. I find it the backwards answer to a question that was not asked. BMW? The last two words are Moan & Whine
  4. OK, this may be just a BMW but it makes me crazy! I know someone was sniffing glue when the SILL class went from a really stupid idea to a keen one that we loyal users are stuck with - but riddle me this: Why oh, why, would a door that has been moved to another class (in this case NONE) not show-up in a viewport until the #@&%ing SILL class gets turned on? Just to finish this BMW, when it comes to Lucky VW13, can we -pretty please with sugar on it! - get rid of this #@&%ing SILL class once and for all? INTEL Mac Mini OSX - since MIniCad + 3
  5. This may be under the topic Moon Music but here goes. Is there some way when importing an ACAD file to maintain the x-ref information & import the referenced drawings? Generally I import the multiple files that make up the x-refs and reassemble as required. I can get the x-ref info from the consultants but from what they tell me there isn't an ACAD version the VW12 breaking the Workgroup Reference while leaving the information in the document. VW12.5.1 Intel Mac Mini OSX
  6. I was under the impression that an Image Prop would be a flat 3-D object; that is with 0 extruded value. Try as I may, I cannot seem to make a an Image Prop an object in 3-D space I can move around. Is there a way to import an image that will act as a 3-D scaleable thing or do I need to do this in Sketch-up? VW12.5.1 Mac OSX Intel Macmini
  7. Sarah, are you saving directly to the server or onto your machine, then copy to the server?
  8. It would be helpful, no; VERY HELPFUL to be able to PASTE IN PLACE between the Annotation Layer & the Design Layer & vise versa. Any way to do this other than the 'ol work-around?
  9. There used to be a way to remove facet lines in a Hidden Line Render. I think it was in Document Preferences. I may just not be looking hard enough but I can't find it now in VW12.5. Smothing by increasing the 3-D to VERY HIGH only increases the number of lines. Thanks, VW12.5 MAC Mini OSX
  10. The problem I was speaking of was that some ACAD hatches seem to act like fills & do not scale.
  11. I cannot find any reference to "world" and "paper" hatch sizes. Does this mean that some hatches act the same as fills and do not scale, or is this a reference to the scale of hatches?
  12. I have noted some ACAD hatches do not seem to scale properly when imported into VW. (Who knows from where & when the hatches have come from.) The problem is hatches that print "correctly" in a 50% reduced plot at 11x17, but when printed at full size 24x36, the hatch is not correctly scaled. One solution is to select objects with the offending hatch & replacing the hatch with a similar VW hatch, but this takes time. Has anyone else noticed this problem, and if so, have you a different solution?
  13. Sometimes the ACAD file has several Dim. classes (ACAD layers), sometimes this are not named as a Dim. and sometimes are part of a symbol. You are right, I would still need to click on each one, the prob is sometimes something that is not a Dim. will get selected ('cause I'm not zoomed in far enough, or smart enough) so one cannot change the type of Dim standard in the object info pallett. With the eye dropper the process would be much faster, & less frustrating.
  14. It would be really handy to be able to use Pantone colours. When I attempt to use a custom colour using CMYK, the new custom colour selected does not keep the custome colour values. For example: choose c=92 m=29 y=9 k=2 save this. Now revisit this edit & you find c=84 m=29 y=6 k=5. Is this the way things should work?
  15. Often imported ACAD drawings come into my drawings with ISO dimension standard, I use a custom selection & change all the dimensions to Arch standard, but diameter & radii do not get selected. These need to be selected one, by, one. If the Eye dropper tool could be used to change the dimension standard, this would be a help.
  16. I have often thought that having this ability would be handy. It would be similar to how one can make, name & nest folders for symbols in the resource pallet. Speaking of the resource pallet, it would be nice if other folders could be produced for textures & hatches. When I get an ACAD file imported, it always contains a gajillion ACAD hatches. Would be nice to put them in a file called "Junk imported from ACAD" so I did not have to scroll through two hours of scrolling ACAD hatches to find one of mine.
  17. Here is a note from the Canadian VW supplier: "FATAL ERROR in VectorWorks 12.5.1 (64620) Macintosh If you are running VectorWorks 12.5.1, please check the number in brackets. The first release of VectorWorks version 12.5.1(64620) will corrupt your files when you back them up. You should have VectorWorks version 12.5.1(65397) installed, instead." You might want to check this out.
  18. Have you updated to 12.5.1? Does this happen in different documents? Was the document a VW 11 file? If so have you batch converted?
