  1. Does anyone have a 3D Truss library for James Thomas Truss? I have been to their website and have only found 2D DXF, and upon opening them the scale is completely off. Looking for Super truss and General Pupose. I have tried using the Spotlight Truss Tool, but it is not giving me the proper spacing on the chords. Thanks, Drew
  2. is there any work around??
  3. On occasion I will receive a plot with groups of polygons instead of the lighting instruments in Spotlight. Is there a quick way to change these groups to instruments that Spotlight will recognize for Import & Export purposes, (Lightwright)?? Most of the items are Lekos. Things like Inst. #, Chan, Clr/Gobo are text manually entered. Thanks
  4. When typing text, and i am done, i press the enter key and it does not close or finish the text box i am working with. This used to work in Spotlight 9.5 & I think 10.1 Any ideas on how to make the 'enter' key work again?? I am using Mac OS 10.2.8 Thanks
  5. I'm working on a Mac, Spotlight 9.5x. Plot was Exported from a Mac, Spotlight 10.5. I can not edit info in the Object Info Palette. When trying to change Position or Purpose I recieve the following error; "Object Creation Failed Due To Invalid Parameter(s). Please Use Different Parameter(s)!" The fixtures are 'Spotlight' symbols and already have color & channel info. This is only happening in 9.5. Any ideas?!? Thanks, Drew
  6. I'm on a mac using both Spotlight 9.5 and 10. My local blueprint place said it can only plot or print .plt ot .pdg files. Is there a way to save or export my file to this? Thanks

  8. Thanks for all the info. I ended up 'ungrouping' the lighting position, deleting both the rotated text, (in the plot) and the lighting position itself, (in the resources pallete). Then I selected the position, (now a symbol in the plot) and recreated the lighting position. Renamed it and I was done. Thanks again, Drew
  9. Actually it is the text for the Liighting Position itself, not the fixtures, (Pipe A, Truss A). I have already redrawn the positions, but is there a shortcut to rotating the Position's Label? Thanks, Drew
  10. I am having a problem with the text orientation of my lighting positions. I had to rotate some of the lighting positions 90? . Unfortunately my labels rotated too. Is there any way to rotate just the labels back?? I didn't want to re-draw the positions. Thanks, Drew
  11. I am unable to print greyed layers. I'm using a MAC OS9.2 Spotlight 9.5.2. Any ideas??
  12. I need to place Labels in front of my fixtures. Unfortunately, some of the labels are out of the 'Red Box,' (the area I can can place Labels around fixtures) How do I resize the 'Red Box' so my Labels will fit at the angle I need in my drawings? Thanks Drew
