  4. I am not sure if i can explain this with enough detail, but here goes... i create an EW, make my changes, then try to update it. While updating I in the progress bar it says "Error fixture xx Skipping" and the changes never update. when I create a new EW, the changes I made are gone and it looks like how I started. Thanks
  5. Thanks... That is what i thought, but i figured i would ask.
  6. But i am wanting to do it while selecting more than one, Sequentially. I know it can be done one at a time, i just have 2 drawings and about 22 Viewports to re-name. Thanks
  7. Is there a way to select a few of the viewports and Re-Name them at the same time? Just received a drawing from a client and I want to take "Viewport" 1 ? 10 and make them "Client View" 1 ? 10. Thanks in advance.
  8. Wonderfull input here. It sound s like with anything in life there are many ways to do the same thing. The image that propstuff has shown is exactly what i am trying to do. But what are the steps to create it?? The best luck I have had so far is using the Drape Tool. Thanks
  9. George, Can you tell me the steps it took to make that?? Thanks!!
  10. i have now tried.... and failed. I just not sure how to do it. Thanks!
  11. I am trying to recreate a twin pole tent. For those that don't know what it is, there are 8 center poles arranged as 2 rows of 4 poles each. Mine are at 30' high. The out side perimeter is at 10' high. The tent top itself is not a straight diagonal, but sags downward. I have tried the Drape Tool, but either it is the wrong tool to use or I am not having any luck. Any ideas?

  14. Thanks for the reminder. I have been doing the select half and number trick. I was just hoping that there was a way to select them all, then choose the number command, then set a point or click where I want the center and go CW or CCW
  15. Any one know how to number lights in a circle?? Not L->R or T->B Thanks!
  16. i am having problems converting & extruding I-Beams & Channels (PIO) after I make them a custom size. Any ideas??
  17. good to know that!! Thanks David.
  18. 13????? how about 12.5?
  19. Jim, For me it is noticeable in an ISO view.
  20. Jim, i understand how to do it!! It is fixing someone else's drawings when I receive them. I made a mention to nemetschek yesterday. We will see what happens. Obviously if the default class can be changed, then selection can be easy. Just select all items on that class. Drew
  21. Jim, Any ideas on how to have a different default class for the focus points?? That would solve the selection problems I have. Or is this something nemetschek has to fix?
  22. Let me clarify. It is actually the 0/0 origin in the 3d component of the symbol. Also where it would get it's Z Height reference from.
  23. Are you sure? I just did it again using the ETC SptLt fixtures. For me it is coming from the loci at the c-clamp.
  24. Here is a good one, Draw your lights, focus them, turn beams on, go to any 3d view, and someone please tell me why is the point source of the beam at the C-Clamp and not at lets say the front of the lens ????? How do you fix that one!!
