i am a user on multiple machines, i have modified and saved my Spotlight lighting device parameters... but i don't know where to find that file to transfer or load it into my laptop or work computer. Haven't found much info as to where the file is saved, a little frustrating. The next question is either or not it will transfer to VW2016 VW2105 SP4 Mac 10.9 & 10.10 Thanks, Drew

Hi all i did a quick search and cannot find this answer, I have an existing file that i am reusing.... it has about 16 existing label legends in it and as i add lights a few of the label legends do not display properly. In looking at and trying to fix the offending LL i realize that the red and blue boundary boxes do not exist anymore and that would explain why certain items that were not dragged over and are still in the Blue area are showing. I tried creating a new LL and that works fine, i have tried to copy and paste the red/blue from a different LL and that was a no go. I really do not want to redo at least 6 of these LL, (no time and heck they should work) Any Ideas ?? Thanks, Drew

I have 3.7, that tab only shows when the 3d project pdf is loaded, not the 2d. Interesting. i am having issues loaded the 3d file, My sample file size is below, are these normal sizes? 2d project 50mb 3d project 60mb

Yes i am up to date... I see the tab on the right side, but it only is showing all the sheet views. No Design Layer options. I also do not have any saved views in the file i am working with, so i can look at that. I guess it is more like a 'live view' i am hoping for.

I thought there was a way to use Design Layer Viewports to show a front or right view while in 2d or 3d plan? i never tried it myself, but i remember reading about that a few years ago.... Any input Jim as to this? Thanks

In the OIP there are (3) options. Horizontal, Aligned, Horiz/Vert I find that some times i cannot get the desired rotation angle or that one of those 3 options does not work for the selected text. I really would like this improved and with a few more working options. Thanks!

I am posting this because i do not think this is an option yet. I hope this makes some sense. Really would like to be able to adjust the design layers in this app, not just view the Sheet Layers. There are times i am out in the field and the preconfigured Sheet Layers do not allow me to work thru things quickly. Having the ability to turn on/off layers or even grey them would be extremely helpful! Thanks

i am having issues accessing my Dropbox files within Nomad to open files. Somewhere within my dropbox there must be a file or folder that has unsupported characters. Its not the file i am trying to access but it within the directories and the Nomad app will not drill into and find the file i am looking for. Not sure what to do... My current workaround is to go into dropbox and duplicate or move the file i want up to the root level to access. any help would be great, AND if anyone within VW see's this, Feature Request to fix please! i have some drawings that have many items with Baseline mode Dims. need to change them over to Ordinate Mode Dims. Is there a way within VW or is there a 3rd party script out there? Thanks

better yet, is there a symbol library with 3d tables in it and i could just do it that way?

i am looking to create a lecture style seating layout. is there a way to place table and chairs as a PIO? Trying to place 5 rows deep, 6 tables @ 72" across, and 3 chairs behind each table. i looked at the Event Planing PIO. have not found it to be successful. i have also tried the simple table and chair PIO and that is not working either. Also I have a second event and need to place in 72"diameter round tables, but seating is to be on half of the table 6 chairs per table. any ideas? Thanks! mac Designer 2011 sp2

i am trying to import the 'Sheet Layer' or viewports form one file to another. had a very bloated file, and just got a clean dwg import from client of a new floorplan. Have created a new file and then 'design layer' imported the layers needed. now i just want to bring in a few of the sheets that i have already finished into the new/clean file. is there an easy way? currently working with Designer 2009, but also have Designer 2011. Thanks

i tried that, but unfortunately in front or iso views the 2d items are stacked under the 3d. i did a select all to move the 3d height, but that did not seem to work. i was hoping there was a custom selection tool or a way to select only 2d or 3d items.

imported a dwg and the originator of the file drew things in 2d and 3d. i want to select and delete all the 2d data. is there an easy way of doing this? Thanks 2009 & 2011 Mac
