  1. Thank you kindly @Tom W.. Worked like a charm. Screenshot 2024-03-07 at 7.57.20 PM.pdf
  2. UPDATE: The printed page seems to reflect the grayed extents beyond cut plane, but the screen image still does not. VW will show the grayed extents AS the viewport is updating, but back to no change once it completes the update process. Curious. Untitled.mov
  3. I'm about to bang my head against the wall...maybe I've encountered a bug, maybe I'm not holding my mouth right. I've created a vertical section viewport and have attempted to change the attributes of the "extents beyond cut plane" to a 20% grayed out. The viewport will not change. I created classes for the beyond cut plane visibilities, but they don't apply. I've gone into the class settings of the viewport to edit the model class visibility...no change. Anyone? (I did just update Mac OS to Sonoma 14.3.1) Screenshots of the process: Screenshot 2024-03-06 at 5.01.04 PM.pdf Screenshot 2024-03-06 at 5.01.28 PM.pdf Screenshot 2024-03-06 at 5.02.28 PM.pdf Screenshot 2024-03-06 at 5.02.50 PM.pdf Screenshot 2024-03-06 at 5.03.31 PM.pdf
  4. I like how you think. I am a small-scale design/builder who is the only one working on design files. Been a VW user since 2009 and still struggle with intuitive class structure. Would you be willing to share your exploded class categories @line-weight?
  5. Wow. Such an easy fix. Thank you @bcd! ☺️
  6. VW 2024 seems to be throwing me a curve ball. I've created a curtain wall to define a screen porch and the walls only display in ISO views and Top view. After changing class attributes, removing class attributes, and creating a data visualization, nothing I try will cause the walls to display in Top/Plan view. The curtain walls are invisible in Top/Plan view. Can anyone help? Is this a bug? File is attached and the walls are on the "main schematic" layer surrounding the screen porch polygon. craic mhaith 4.vwx
  7. Wow. The path of least resistance. Thank you kindly gentlemen!
  8. I have created a custom screen door leaf with a painted wood texture for the frame and a transparent screen texture for the panels. The screen door is situated in a curtain wall with the same screen texture for the curtain wall "panels". I created a perspective viewport on sheet layer where the curtain wall screen panels render transparent, but the screen door panels do not. I have exhausted my abilities with VW and still can't get the screen door panel texture to render transparent. Any help by the VW community is greatly appreciated. Screenshot and current (incomplete) design file attached. Screenshot 2023-07-14 at 9.19.12 AM.pdf5 hardbarger renovation.vwx

  10. Hutch - Are you still interested in filling your position? If so, I have 30+ years of design and build experience. 12+ years of experience with vectorworks. Regards, Andrew Watkins President Custom Homebuilding Inc www.customhomebuildinginc.com
  11. I've been a high-end custom design-builder for over 23 years. I have 12 years Vectorworks experience. I have grown weary of the build end of things and am looking to pivot towards design only. A part-time remote position with your company may be attractive. Please email andrewfwatkins@gmail if interested in furthering this conversation.
