  1. Thats what I like to read. A company (NNA) that responds with the concerns of its users. We're better knowing that all of the improvements will still be worked on with PPC machines. I can make my next purchase with a seigh of relief. Thanks PS Try to find a better software company than this. (not many around) you guys keep up the good work. We look forward to a long relationship with NNA
  2. I know that Apple will continue to support the PowerMac line. What We're concerned with is when VW or any other developer is devoting time and money writting for the new processors. Making another purchase necessary to take advantage of updates or new features. Perhaps this is an advantage or not. [ 06-07-2005, 09:07 AM: Message edited by: MT Const. Serv. ]
  3. OOPs spoke to soon. It recorded one note then I added another and they both disappeared. Back to the same routine as above. No notes.
  4. Found the problem. Needed to restart system. All is well
  5. What effect will the Apple announcement have on VW. I was going to buy a couple of new G5's to make my program run faster. But I don't want to buy new machines later again in 2 years or less. Just wondering, maybe a little premature. Thanks for any info. [ 06-07-2005, 01:14 PM: Message edited by: MT Const. Serv. ]
  6. I'm using Mac OSX 10.3.9 VW 11.5. I'm typing "Concrete" as the title and "123 Abc" as the note.
  7. I just started using the General Notes and nothing works. I make a general note, press ADD. Then type in a couple of words and press OK. The dialog disappears and then it returns to "GeneralNotes" on my drawing. Nothing else! No new title or anything, just "General Notes". Go to Edit and nothing there. Go to add another note, nothing on the list. Press < [ 06-03-2005, 09:18 PM: Message edited by: MT Const. Serv. ]
  8. Thanks for the info. The lines appear only in sections using hidden line. I guess I'll wait till it's corrected. Mike
  9. This subject was entered earlier with no proper answer to the problem. When doing a hidden line rendering there are alot of extra lines eminating from objects inserted into the walls. It is especially noticiable when doing 3D cuts. What causes this? Can it be prevented? Editing these lines is time consuming to say the least.
  10. You're right again. Thanks for the tip. I've spent alot of time doing design layers over and over to get these simple changes.
  11. Re: Just tried it over a Layer it works fine. Most of the plugins seem to work OK on ViewPorts. I guess this one doesn't. Thanks for taking time to answer Robert!
  12. I'm having a problem with the ceiling grid tool. I set the area that I want the grid in and all I get is a large poly with no grid. The grid is set for the standard 2x4 grid.
  13. My Title Block & borders are made on a design layer (Common). How do I now combine the viewport and the Title/borders on one sheet or design layer? When I set the visibility for (Common) & view port all I see is viewport. Do I need to recreate the Title Block/borders?
  14. Since this happens with all the files sending you a file is the easy part. Wheres this? ( [VW]\Plug-Ins\Common\Data\Preferences.xml file ) As soon as I find it I'll send it to you. Thanks for your help.
  15. In the callouts I set the prefs. to solid arrow and nothing appears except a line with a blank end. It doesn't matter which type I choose, they're all blank. The exception is symbol (it shows only a solid arrow). I may have missed somthing. I've checked the message board for this problem and cannot find a solution there.
  16. A few weeks ago I sent my engineer an dxf export of a drawing for him to use in Revit. He said , he had difficulties in reviewing and separating the layers. He had to do most of the work in AutoCad. He asked me "What scale I had drawn it in which was 1:48. He told me all of my drawings need to be 1:1 and that this would help him redraw my exports. He says that this is the standard for CAD files. I have always used 1:48. Most of my set-ups all start out in 1:48. So is 1:1 the accepted way to scale drawings or is this an AutoCad requirement?
  17. I just entered 6 columns onto a building we're designing. Upon rendering, the columns are white. This happens with any texture chosen. Am I missing something? Any clues would be helpful.
