  1. Thank you Jessie, Configuring the array is now working with the deleting the RMCache and updating. But it seems the horizontal dispersion for the Meyer Leopard is still at 0deg, where it should be 110, and no option of inputting it manually in the OIP as it is greyed out. Not a big deal, I use Mapp3d to do all my Meyer analytics, but it was a good feature to turn on for the initial plotting of the arrays. Thanks again!
  2. Hello, I am wondering if anyone else is having issues with maintaining an active projective file on Dropbox. I am experience an issue where I am working on the working file for an extended period of time (saving locally periodically) and then go to commit the changes, the Working file looses connection to the Project file and I get a popup asking me to "Reset" the project file. Dropbox Settings: - I do have select sync enabled, but I specifically choose the Project File to be "Allowed off-line". DB seems to drop this setting consistently, and I find myself always going back to DB to reset this setting before I am able to commit my working file changes. One thing I have noticed with the Project File in the DB is that every time someone "Saves and Commit" the Project Files literally disappears from the DB and then reappears after a minute or so after the commit process has completed. My only guess about why I loose my "allow off-line" setting has do with this committing process when the Project File disappears and reappears in DB. I have not seen any issues about this on the forum that I could find, so maybe this might be a specific DB setting on my end but everyone using our project files has to first make sure that the project file is active (synced to the computer) in the DB before committing. Any insight would be helpful. Thanks!
  3. Hello Jesse, Thank you for getting back to me. Could you outline the path to the RMCache? My search pulled up the c4d_strings.str, which I am not sure is correct. Attached is a file with a basic array with Meyer bumper, 900LCF, and (3) Leopards on a new VW file. It seems to be allowing the creation of the array without the popup. It seems to have all the dimensions of the units and weights correct, but the dispersions are all 0deg... Let me know if this is the same for you. Thanks! Meyer Array Speaker Test.vwx
  4. Hello, I am having some issues with the Audio Array tool and selecting the from VW libraries (Speakers Meyer Sound > 900LCF / Leopard for the "Speaker A" and "Speaker B"), alternatively, it is also happing with (Speakers Meyer Sound "Leo" > 900LCF / Leopard for "Speaker A" and "Speaker B") and getting a popup that states "The Selected Symbol does not include the necessary data record....". It seems to work with other brands like L-Acoustic and D&B, but Meyer seems to have lost all of its data. I am up to date on VW version 5 and have pushed an update for the resource libraries. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks! Mac M2 16GB Sonoma 14.3.1
  5. @Fcappello This happens to us at our organization a lot when we have multiple people on the drawings. It usually happens when the commit is interrupted by a user closing the program before it has fully synced, or the cloud server holding the Project file (not sure if this is your setup). If you have Admin permissions, you can administrative release of "tomoko" from the viewport through Project Sharing. File > Project Sharing > Object/Layers > (Select Specific user/object) > Admin Release. Please note that the work that the user made will be lost when this command is enacted. Hope this helps.
  6. Thanks All! These suggestions have worked out well. Purge works, and adding in coordinate columns for the chairs works. Much appreciated!
  7. Hello, although I am long time user of VW I have not dabbled in the Marionette realm at all. When I was tasked to figure out a way to find duplicated objects that occupy the same X,Y,Z/Rotation (essentially objects that are on top of each other), my thought was look for a Marionette solution. Context: I work in an arena style arts venue that builds our own 600 to 800 seat tribune for every production. We have a hybrid symbol for the chairs we use, and when we create the seating layout and chart, we usually start with one chair and duplicate to create a row and then duplicate the row up the tribune. We use worksheets and fields for row and number labeling, so rarely are we counting each seat. Sometimes the chair symbol gets duplicated on top of another chair symbol, thus our total chair count on worksheet does not match the tribune, which obviously causes issues with the box office. It usually takes some time to count the seats and then to find the rouge duplicated seat(s). My thought was to use a Marionette network to isolate and select duplicated symbols that exist on top of each other. If there is another way, I would be happy to investigate. So far, I have a very basic network where I can list the coordinates and see the duplicates, but I would like to take another step where the network would identify the duplicates (from what I can tell this might need to be specific syntax) and select them. See attached screenshot with three apparent chairs, but there are actually four which is represented in the list as existing on the same coordinate. This is where I am not sure how to proceed as I could not find a node that will identify duplicate coordinates. Any suggestions are much appreciated.
  8. Hello, I am recently coming across an issue involving Project Files and Drop Box Sync that I have never had an issue with previously. It seems that when I am working on a Project file with my working file and I do not save and commit within 1/2 hour, I loose connection to the project file in DB and I am asked to either manually find the link for "Reset the project file" (not sure what this does). I have Select Sync/Smart Sync enabled with DB, and it seems that when I navigate to the file structure in DB to the Project file when I am having trouble the "file size" associated with Project File is always at zero. I have to actually click on the project file to reestablish a sync with my computer and DB and the my working file will sync. This inevitably opens a new working file which then I have to close out and then I am able to save and commit, and refresh from original working file. I have been using Project Files with DB for a few years now without an issue and now is seems to be happening all the time. This could be a DB issue with Smart Sync, I am just not sure who to turn to first. Is anyone else having a timeout sync issue with DB and their Project Files? Thanks!
  9. On the Legacy Hoist Tool there was an option for positioning the hoist either "up" or "down". This was valuable to me for not only visualizations but for 2D reference with tags turned off. From what I can tell I do not see this option, but I could not be looking in the right place. Thanks! I understand now how to select the hoist position now, it seems the "up" and "down" hoists are now separate symbols chosen when it is initially inserted. Please disregard my previous question. Thanks!

  11. Pat, Thanks for your response! Adding a field to the seating record for the "Blocked" and/or "Partial View" is part of the future plan. Setting the layout of the seating in the a worksheet was where I was getting stuck. I am attaching my attempt (very basic seating layout) with Marionettes. I was able to get the row and column correct, but could not generate information into the cells. Nick Seating Test.vwx
  12. Hello, I am wondering if it is possible to take a seating layout and have each seat represented as a cell in it's location with the "Row" and "number" fields applied using a Marionette network. Ultimately, this will be exported Excel for other departments to adjust pricing. Attached is VW seating and the corresponding Excel that was created in isolation. The idea is run a script in VW to have a worksheet created that would emulate the Excel file. We constantly make changes to the seating layout and this script would help keep the tracking of the changes. I have tried to find a node that would input data for an individual cell. It seems that a database will take a occupy a full row and not single cells. I am not sure if I am thinking about this correctly, but I thought I might send it out to brighter minds than mine. The only thing in the Excel that needs to be represented is actual seating layout, not the tables or formulas. Thanks! 13. James, This is awesome! Apple script? Apologies for responding to an old thread, but isolation had me doing work housekeeping by updating our symbol library with our heavy equipment. Once I had seen this I could not keep my mind from wandering. I should be taking some Python (or Apple Script) online courses to ease my pain 🙂 Nick
  14. This is very impressive! It leads me to question where I think I already know the answer, but is it possible to automate the movement? Setting a start and end height with a specific timing ( possible acceleration and deceleration) using existing symbols. The implications could be the visualization of flying trusses/scenery for reference in an increasingly automated theatrical industry. Thanks! Nick
