[Renderworks missing?]

I am trying to export a Collada file, but it seems that I am missing Renderworks? I have done this a million times before... This is a new install, am I missing something?

 

This menu command is not authorized for use in this product.

When I start Vectorworks it says I have a license with Designer and Renderworks. Using 2020 SP2.

 

[Razer Blade Stealth - Rendering Bug]

Hello, I am testing out the Razer Blade Stealth. I opened a document I had created using my previous laptop with an Intel Graphics 520 Internal card - and found that on the blade I received a horrible graphics bug. Starting in a render view in OpenGL and then persisting in plan view or anything else... Is this an issue with some drivers on the Razer Blade Stealth?

[Label Legend changing not selected fixtures in groups.]

Hello, I am currently working on a magic sheet for theatre. I have multiple label legends changing the containers/layout to either a master group, group, or channel.

 

While I am doing this, I am finding that fixtures I have not said to change, will sometimes seem to be linked to the fixture I just changed. These fixtures are in an entirely different group than the one I would be working in.

 

I find that it seems when I enter in the group, they are already selected. Changing them back to what they should be, then deselecting them before exiting the group seems to be a solution. However, it doesn't necessarily seem to make sense to have sub-selections that you can't see. Is this a known bug? or am I missing some feature to this? It really feels like I am playing Whack-A-Mole.

[Converting Old Lighting Symbols to Instrument]

I have received a plot from a designer - however it seems that the designer used record formats, instead of using instruments.

 

Now I know I can convert to an instrument, but this means I lose all information in the record format. Is there a way to do this without losing all information? Short from just having to redo the plot with actual lighting instruments?

Interesting, I guess from switching between a Top/Plan view and a second View pane in 3D mode my main screen changed to Top.

Something new I am finding with 2018, is when I hover over a pdf or any object, the object turns blue.

 

Is there any way to disable this?

Hello,

 

Quickly jumping into 2018 - looking at the new multiple view panes. I found that I am unable to view anything in 3D or different views.

 

Even with no multiple view panes, standard views are greyed out.

 

Is this a new restriction for the student version?

[Vision Transparency Issues]

Hello,

 

Currently attempting to send custom drops from Vectorworks to Vision. Transparency works perfectly in Vectorworks - both using an image prop, and texture properties. However, Importing to Vision I find that it completely ignores any Transparency. Same thing with Scrim textures.

 

Is this something Vision just can't do right now? Or am I doing something wrong.
