  1. I must credit my office colleague Malcolm for helping figure this one out!! It appears to be a bug. If your Attributes Palette defaults has the start and end arrows turned on and you change the render mode of the viewport, all polylines get arrowheads. Turn off the arrow defaults, select another render mode and go back to Sketch mode - the arrows are gone!!
  2. Of course, a deadline approaches... after editing a few polylines and returning to my sheet, I discovered that the viewports set to Sketch mode show all polyline endpoints with arrowheads!!? How do I get rid of them? Ack.
  3. This one is fun... I created a worksheet to calculate the area of a polygon. The polygon has a specific class "Area-1-1". The worksheet functions properly and matches the area displayed in the Object Info palette. However, I made the polygon into a symbol and gave the symbol the same class attribute. The worksheet suddenly displays an incorrect area. When I change the class of the symbol to none, the area in the worksheet goes to zero! I convert the symbol to a group and recalculate the worksheet and the area returns to the correct area. I suspect that the worksheet calculates the area of the symbol, NOT the polygon within it, which is a rectangle defined by the object handles. Please fix this ASAP!!!
  4. Thanks for the suggestion Katie. However, all my machines have CarbonLib v1.5. I suspect it is something within the file. The user can copy/paste into a new VW file and print without problem. I am checking whether this is still an issue with VW Arch 9.5.1 vs. 9.5.2 and Mac OS 9.1 vs. 9.2.2 - I have not seen it with Mac OS X 10.1.4 or 10.1.5.
  5. Sorry - I just noticed that there is a CarbonLib v1.6 available so I will try this...
  6. I have encountered erratic print scaling issues from VW 9.5.1 where a user would print using Laserwriter 8 to our HP LaserJet 8000 with the Page Setup setting at 50% (VW tab setting at 100%) to an 11x17, and landscape orientation. The print comes out all scrunched in the top upper left hand corner of the page. This is not consistent. Some users get it from time to time while others do not. I can open the file and print it without issue from Mac OS X 10.1.5 and VW 9.5.1 (and 9.5.2). It appears it is only a Mac OS 9.2.2 issue on newer G4 Quicksilvers. I have tried various settings, various scales, new files etc... the only solution is to copy and paste the drawing into a new file and it prints fine. Weird. I will continue to look into this further...
  7. You can setup and print to your printer in Classic by simply opening your document with VW 9.5 in Classic. Just like the old days... good old familiar OS 9.
