  1. here's a basic one. Tile-Spanish-8in.vwx
  2. It’s hard to see what you are trying to do. If you post the file and sketch out the desired outcome, I’m sure one of us can walk you through it.
  3. I’m going to sound like a salesperson here, but I think this is super helpful for our professional community. Affinity V2 dropped. You can get all their Adobe killers for both the iPad and your computer for $99 total, perpetual, no subscription. https://affinity.serif.com/en-us/ This is my go to software for cutting out plants on the iPad for making image props and developing textures. Plus, it’s my preferred tool for photo editing, digital painting, board/book production, and dabbling in vector artwork. Now it can read .dwg and deal with scale too! I’m looking forward to exploring that last feature and seeing if it has workflow advantages for illustrative plans.
  4. What is the desired outcome here? In other words why? Are you putting all of this existing information in the “existing site model data” and then doing your new work on the proposed? If so, I’m wondering what the problem is. If not, I have to ask why.
  5. GIS data can sometimes vary wildly, especially over long distances and with projection uncorrected. When it has to be dead on, survey is your best hope. Even then, there are acceptable tolerances.
  6. 2019 won't work on Monterey, stops at Catalina. 2021 will work on Monterey, but stops there. per this:
  7. That opens up fine in 2021 & 2023 on MacOS 12.6. The data correlates with the aerial image in Vectorworks too. See attached. pls for bensonv2023.vwx
  8. To be fair, the videos aren't outdated, the tools are. The only significant change to irrigation has been graphic depiction (icons) in recent years.
  9. I don’t know. I’m using 2023 US version. Perhaps check your shaded view settings to make sure textures and colors are active.
  10. keep in mind, if you do not have a Service Select agreement in place by the end of 2022, your perpetual license will no longer be upgradeable and you won’t be able to restarts S.S. Effectively, you’ll stop at 2023 or have to become a subscription customer. I bit the bullet and begrudgingly renewed… I’m still using 2021 for day to day and will skip over 2022.
  11. They just aren't very good when you get close, especially desert and fine structured plants. When the camera is 30' or more away they are great, but then so is an image prop... at a far smaller cost in terms of rendering time and file size.
  12. That's what they are supposed to look like in Wireframe view. Switch to Shaded or a rendered view and things will look the way you are hoping. Symbol - Proxy - Low Detail (in shaded view)
  13. @hollister design Studio Fortunately, this is an easy fix... Your path bled over the edge of the site model. When that happens, they sink to 0. Adjusting the edge of the path to be contained by the site model solves the problem.
  14. Well, that's worrisome.
  15. I'm not seeing that behavior. You probably need to change your plant style's tag settings for "approach angle" and "shoulder angle" to by-instance if you wish to change their location and angle. The default plant insert setting makes it all "by style" which may be locking the control over the shoulder line placement since it is defined "by style".
  16. I just opened your file, entered the editor of the extrude, and noted your poly line was not closed somehow. Changing it to closed results in restoration of your slab. There is a small gap/missalignment in the perimeter of your stage Where'd my slab go-solved.vwx
  17. That is an extremely good feature upgrade. I remember when I started out and would get past 8 lights and wonder, like your slab, where did they go? I think 2022 was beta for the M series, and 2023 might be prime time.
  18. Did you make it in 2023? I thought I saw Vectorworks had added support for the multiverse in one of those marketing videos 😉
  19. Don’t use 2023 until service pack 3 or later.
  20. Post the file and someone will take a look at it.
  21. You could always select the items you don’t want in the dwg and delete them prior to exporting using a temporary file.
  22. …17 years later Wow, the necromancing is strong with this one.
  23. Thanks for the information, even though it is not what I wanted to hear 😞
