  1. Hello @Tom W., Firstly, this should be happening with all graphics, not just rounded rectangles. I suppose that in the other 2 cases mentioned above your text objects have Left alignment selected and not Center, as it is in the rounded rectangle tag. I think that you have found a bug here caused by the U4 updates to the constraints system. I will log a VB about it and work on its fix. Sorry for the inconvenience! Best Regards, Nikolay Zhelyazkov
  2. Hello @Helga Heins, The Project Revision History report is listing issues and the current revision of each issue. If you want a report with revision data you should check out the Sheet Revision Log. Let me know if you need any further info. Best Regards, Nikolay Zhelyazkov
  3. Hello @spettitt, Have you tried using UpdatePIOFromStyle? It might get the job done. Best Regards, Nikolay Zhelyazkov
  4. Can you share or PM me a test file so that I can look into it?
  5. - Hello Thomas, it was a bit too late for U4 for this fix, but it should be in the next update. 🙂
  6. Hello @Brian Nitz, For the connector name you can make a database worksheet with sockets and list their connectors. To filter out only the connected sockets you can use the Connections Count parameter of the sockets as an additional criteria. For the connector description, there is currently no automatic way to extract this data. Best Regards, Nikolay Zhelyazkov
  7. Or use the Edit Front/Rear of Rack right click context menus that open up a view set up for this mounting editing.
  8. Yes, this data is stored in the document but the Latest Issue custom link formula is reading the data of the object.
  9. - ohh, okay got it, this means that this linked text could be reading data from other TBBs, which is currently not possible. You can set up a project data field for this that you will have to manually update, but then the data will be visible in all TBBs.
  10. - Yes, this can be done with the custom linked text options. You should have Latest Date as an option there, when you edit the TBB layout and select a text object.
  11. - You can easily create new custom title block starting from an unstyled one. Just enter its layout and start inserting graphical and text objects. You can then make your text objects linked/dynamic from the OIP and they will display data from the TBB. If you need additional fields you can add them from the Manage Project/Sheet data dialogs in the TBB Settings dialog.
  12. @Luxedavid The tutorial that you were watching is too old and much has changed since then. You can check for tutorials here https://university.vectorworks.net/course/index.php?mycourses=0&tagfilter[category]=0&tagfilter[type]=0&tagfilter[difficulty]=0&search=title+block&langfilter[]=0#coursestab The Title Block Coffee Break course should be enough as a start I think.
  13. - Which version of Vectorworks are you using? Which tutorial were you following? Can you share a screen recording, screenshot or test file showing the issue?
  14. Hello @Florane, The Issues are always sorted so that the newest issue comes first and then come the rest. So if you add a new issue it will shift all the rest to the right and that might be why your report is shifted. Best Regards, Nikolay Zhelyazkov
  15. Cable paths are shared between spotlight and connectCAD and are the same objects just 2 different tools.
  16. Hello all, As of VW 2024 U4 equipment items that are standalone can be connected directly to the cable paths without the need of drop points. Best Regards, Nikolay Zhelyazkov
  17. - We were thinking about this from the perspective of the data tag tool, but as I said this is still something that is being considered so nothing is certain yet.
  18. Thanks - You seem to be working in VW 2024 Update 0. We have been making improvements to the cables in the 2024 Updates, and this seems to have been resolved with them. If you update to the latest 2024 Update this should be working correctly there.
  19. - There is some movement on this topic and we are still thinking about this, so it is on our radar but I cannot give you any specific time/date/version when this will be released.
  20. Hello @spettitt, I have just tested creating an equipment item using Create Equipment and having a symbol with the equipment item named make_model and it got correctly created from the symbol, preserving the adapter slots. Can you provide a sample file showing what is your setup? Best Regards, Nikolay Zhelyazkov
  21. Can you then make a sample test file showing the issue or PM me the file? Another important question is which version of Vectorworks are you using?
  22. Hello @kevin.hayward, Can you share the file with these cables and let me know how did you create them (with the cable tool, power patch selected menu command or OIP editing)? Best Regards, Nikolay Zhelyazkov
  23. Fastest should be through the Title Block Manager. Another way to do this is to create a worksheet report listing all TBBs and their Active parameter and then edit the value in the worksheet. Note, in worksheets you can copy multiple cells and paste them on multiple cells. This means that you can create a column of False values and paste it in the TBB Active parameter column.
  24. Thanks for reporting this, it seems like a bug and we will look into it.
  25. Hello @Jeff G, I think that the problem here is that your socket symbols are all colored white now and that is why it looks like there are gaps in the device. One way to go for this is to publish with the CC-Socket-Symbol class hidden, then you will not see the socket symbols at all. Let me know if this gets the job done. Best Regards, Nikolay Zhelyazkov
