Hello Can anyone give me a clear explanation of the difference between the layers/classes in vectorworks and the layers in autocad? How can the layers and classes in vectorworks be best translated to autocad, so that the easy navigation between layers and classes can be maintained? I have recently completed a measured building survey and have drawn up the data in vectorworks. However once i export it as a dwg for use in autocad, its difficult to switch the different floors and components on and off. I have attached the dwg to this message. Hi Mark thanks for the response. I was looking at the dwg import dialog and changed the units from millimeters to meters which has had the desired effect.

Hi Can anyone help please. I have a dwg that i am trying to work with in vectorworks. I need to add a bit more to a survey that was done in 2015. The architects have sent me the original dwg which i want to add my data to. However when I import it i end up with a blobby mess of lines, see the attached screenshot. I'm sure its a scaling issue but can't quite figure it out. If anyone out there can help i'd really appreciate it. Ideally I want to produce a drawing at 1:100 in vectorworks. hello does anyone know the maximum size of .dxf file that can be imported into vectorworks 2017? I am trying to import an Ordnance Survey dataset of part of Devon in the UK, and I keep getting the insuffcient memory error. My PC is brand new (less that 1 month ) and pretty powerful. I'll put the specs at the bottom of this thread. Any help would be most useful.
