  1. Currently corner windows have 2 flaws which would be nice to see remedied: 1) rough opening / unit size for corner windows does not reflect the actual window size (it takes the window size plus the corner post width which makes scheduling corner windows difficult; 2) corner windows can't be modeled with a sloped top
  2. Our firm has been thrilled with the addition of new door configurations like barn door surface sliders. It would be a dream come true to also have folding door arrangements in operations beyond just single bi-fold and bi-fold, bi-part (i.e. 3 leaves to right, 1 to left; 5 leaves...etc.). Additionally, overhead door "swing" line is depicted similar to an awning window which reads as a tilt-up door. An arrow pointing up would be more descriptive of either a roll-up or overhead garage door. Thank you! Devin Kinney
  3. Thanks everyone. I tried the suggestion of deleting user and preferences folder but to no avail. However, a reinstall worked like a charm and took under an hour to uninstall / reinstall so I'm back in the saddle again!
  4. Thanks for the suggestion Andy. Sadly it's not a simple fix like that. I've been using VW since it was MiniCAD in the mid 2000's and I've never seen a tool broken like this. I never really played around in the Plug-in manager until this year though so I probably messed with something I shouldn't have... 🙂
  5. I recently used the plug-in manager to set the default insertion class for drawing labels and now the drawing label tool appears broken. I can't edit any drawing labels without them disappearing (error: "object creation failed due to invalid parameter(s); please use different parameter(s)") and when trying to insert a new drawing label, VW just switches to the selection / pointer tool. The simple drawing label tool still appears to function fine. Has anyone experienced something similar or have any suggestions to try? I've tried switching workspaces and removing / re-adding the Drawing Label tool but neither made a difference - starting to think a complete reinstall may be in my future... vw2019 SP6 Architect, MBP 2019 2.4 Ghz 8-core i9, 32GB RAM, macos 10.15 catalina
  6. Our firm is (finally) moving towards using door and window symbols to auto-fill our door and window schedules (worksheets) but I've noticed dimensions are written without the intermediate dash: 3'4" rather than 3-4". This is problematic as it is not standard notation and can be quickly read as 34". I notice that it has been on the wishlist since 2007 which is completely unacceptable. Someone needs to address this soon! Thank you, Devin VW Fundamentals / Architect 2016, MBP 2013 Retina, OSX 10.11.6 (El Capitan) Update: Rather than using the "include on schedule" option with door and window symbols so I can populate VW's worksheets, I've simply created an editable 2D symbol for door and window tags and input my own data fields for width, height, hardware...etc linked to my window and door records so I can create my own window and door schedules with fully-editable fields. It's actually a relatively simple work-around but it's still a bummer that we can't use the default schedules as-provided.
