I will be getting VW10 today and I have some quick questions. #1 Does VW10 import ACAD Solids? #2 How does it handle ACAD Paper space? #3 How compatible is it with WinXP/home? Thanks for any info. TONY

Anyone know how to change a VW 3d model into a true 3d SOLID that ACAD can read?

Is there any way to open a VW drawing in ACAD without having to export it in VW to a DWG, I would like to be able to import the VW file into ACAD somehow. This is a VERY time consuming have to 1st open the drawing in VW then Export in and savw to DWG then open it as a ACAD file. Is there some easier way this can be done? Thanks TONY.

Does VW have any type of command that aligns the working planes to a surface , Similary to AutoCAD's Align to Face? We are haveing a problem Aligning 2 flanges on a water slide that are not inline w/ any set planes. We need to 1st align the 2 pcs on center, this is hard enough w/ no Center snap point on Cylinders. This would be simple in AutoCad w/ the USC system, But since VW hasn't relized what the definition of 3d is yet we are haveing no luck in understanding how to aline the working plane to a 3d face in true 3d space X,Y,and Z. Any help would be Appreciated. thanks

When using the leaders (Callouts) is there a way to run the spellcheck? When I run it on a callout it says spell check complete, but misspelled words don't change. Any suggestions? Thanks, Tony

I figured it out when I go into create report , go into the options and select search in symbols. works fine.

I have a question. I have a symbol that is comprised of other symbols. When I create a report VW only will list the 1 main symbol and not the sub-symbols. If I edit the symbol is still has the sub-symbols listed but only when editing. Is there a way to get VW to list these sub-symbols in the report or is there a way to Explode a symbol in a drawing? I am trying to create a item list for the drawing and not being able to list all of the items is kinda annoying. Thanks Tony

I am a veteran AutoCAD user and getting use to VW is real work. I have a question, is there anywhere to obtain (free) 3d symbols for nuts and bolts? VW is nice enough to include 2d symbols in the program, but no 3d and since VW does not allow one to modify or even 3d rotate these symbols this is a real pain. thanks in advance Tony
