Claveworks

Ah, okay - I think you have nailed my problem - I used to be able to search all Vectorworks files but can't any more... But thinking about it, it might be that my OLD version could do this, but 2017 can't, so it's a failure caused by upgrading... I need a solution somehow, because there are a lot of symbols that I only use sometimes... Would it work if I copied all the old symbols into a single file? If so, where should that file be placed? Thanks!

I don't know why, but I just cannot find symbols in other documents any more. Using the search box at the top of the Resource window allows me to find symbols in the open document, but I just can't work out how to search through all my old files and folders to find the symbol I actually NEED. Any ideas? Or is this an old feature that has gone now?

I never do anything in 3D, so hope nothing drastic is done to the top/plan view!
