  1. Which printer do you use? I have similar problems with my Canon BJC 4550. The colors look strange, just as if the ink cartridge is getting empty, but it isn't... -Hannes
  2. try to manually reload the page. HTH, Hannes
  3. Hello Roy, If you are doing something with cabinets it may be of interest for you that i am curently working on a cabinet door Plugin. You can see some examples on my Website mentioned in the signature below.. 4. Julian Carr's VW Essentials include a tool for curved leader lines www.zeta.org.au/~jbcarr/. Kind Regards, Hannes ------------------ *********************** Hannes Lackner Joinery++Tyrol/Austria cabinet door-Plugin please look at: http://members.aon.at/tischlerei.lackner/services.htm
  5. look at Mathew Panzer's website at http://users.erols.com/panzercad/ there you'll find a free menue command called 'print sheets' which does straight this.. ------------------ *********************** Hannes Lackner Joinery++Tyrol/Austria cabinet door-Plugin please look at: http://members.aon.at/tischlerei.lackner/services.htm
  6. Hello Chuck I made a plugin tool which inserts the active symbol with just one mouseclick. You can set the rotation angle at the tool parameter button. It's free for everyone. You can download it at http://members.aon.at/tischlerei.lackner/free%20Plugins.htm ------------------ *********************** Hannes Lackner Joinery++Tyrol/Austria cabinet door-Plugin please look at: http://members.aon.at/tischlerei.lackner/services.htm
  7. I'm happy with Win 2000, rendering is a noticeable faster, and crashes are nearly unknown. To work right with win 2000, 128 MB RAM are recommendable. -Hannes ------------------ *********************** Hannes Lackner Joinery++Tyrol/Austria cabinet door-Plugin please look at: http://members.aon.at/tischlerei.lackner/services.htm
  8. Only a thought, but do you overclock your PC? I overclocked my Celeron400 to 500 Mhz, and VW crashed very often, after going back to 450 all works fine. Hannes
  9. Well, that's right, but if you click a point of a 3d object youll get the 3d coordinates.. (isometric view or others)
  10. quote: Originally posted by mbarrera: I think it would be impossible to calculate the depth of the click on a 2D computer screen. If what you want is the z or depth value, why not change the view to front, left, etc. and have the user click on this view to get the depth.
  11. quote: Originally posted by Chuck: I agree with your assessment of default Bezier vertices appearing when drawing with "polyline by corner point tool". But why is VectorWorks programmed to change to Bezier vertices on the run (or in my case because I try to draw polylines faster than snail's pace)??? Why can't the programme behave and stay with corner vertices, no matter what the speed of drawing?? I think it doesn't depend on the speed how you are drawing. If you do just a single click to the point you'll get a corner point, if you click and hold down the mousekey while drawing you'll get a bezier and only a click get's you back to the corner point mode..., no matter how fast or slow you act. So you can change very quick between this two modes, it speeds up the work - I'm wrong? Kind Regards, Hannes
  12. Yes it is full compatible. IMO VW runs faster and more stable with win 2000. Best regards, Hannes
  13. I think the Custom visibility command from the organize menu does what you want. Hannes
  14. I think it would be fine if there would be a button at the Object browser which opens the current at the browser selected file. Also a Button to import the current selected Symbol from the active drawing to the currently selected file/Symbol folder at the Object Browser. Only a thought... Hannes
  15. There are the Procedures ' Get Line, Get Mouse, Get Pt., Get Ptl., Mouse down'. Would be great to have something similar for 3d. Hannes
  16. Only a suggestion: try to turn off all extensions of your Videocard, it helped at my ATI Rage IIC. HTH, HAnnes
  17. I vote for this... ...and for a texture preview at the Recource palette.
  18. Sorry, maybe i have misundersood your question. Do you talk about the screen rendering before you export the image? Of course, it would be VERY fine if we could choose the render mode at the export dialog and stay in wireframe at screen. As a workaround you can press the Esc key if VW starts to render the screen, then select 'export image' and export your picture.
  19. Also, the Render Bitmap tool has been rather fussy and won't work (it just shows white space when where I have drawn a marquee). AFAIK this is a known bug. Be sure that the screen pixel ratio setting at the document preferences is set to 1:1.
  20. I assume you use VW 8.00? AFAIK this is possible since version 8.5 Hannes
