  1. I hope so, but assumes the file format stays the same for a long time. Photoshop has been able to make this work.
  2. While I am not a fan of subscriptions, I see they are where software licenses are going. I have been paying monthly Vig to Adobe for years. That said, what I heard Juan say last night was that if you have a perpetual license, that is not going away. If you have service select, the program is essentially the same. If you have b other and stop paying the Service Select, you still have the license. I assume that at some point, the OS may not run someone's old version, but that isn't new. With Adobe, if you stop paying the Vig, you're sunk opening files unless other Apps open and translate. That's possible with some file formats.
  3. I was also going to suggest one per deign layer, but that could be unwieldy.
  4. would you do this via the Visualization Palette, or by selecting what class is visible in the Viewport using the OIP with the Viewport selected? I would think the latter.
  5. The way I read the question, the user is looking to see the back of the person?
  6. If the image prop is based on an image, how can it reflect what is not in the original image?
  7. My bad, I thought I recalled that ReShaper offered the unrotated dimension of the final object.
  8. Is that an image prop in the model? Looks like an artifact from the Image Prop mask.
  9. or IIRC, I don't think this has ever been fixed, draw in a class, drawn object, the object has the class. Extrude or otherwise manipulate into 3D, the 3D object no longer has the class.
  10. isn't there something similar accessible using the staging tools? Paging Andy Dunning...
  11. IIRC, I took my earlier specs and brought the object into a new version and the style was created. There are stock styles in the default content. Usually I edit an existing style.
  12. this make the rash assumption that I look at the University.
  13. I have always found those rulers to be strictly decorative.
  14. a wee bit. Mostly thinking of saving to VWX file format.
  15. Possibly then taking GDTF from an interesting idea to something usable.
  16. So, this is another instance of a need for better Class Control. I have long wanted to be able to tell VWX that objects should be assigned to such and such a class.
  17. I have not tried this, but if you can make the lens a lens object you can set the lens to pick up the color from the color filed in the OIP through the Document Spotlight preference. You need to have a class for the lens and a glow texture that uses the object attribute.
