  1. Hi, I am having trouble with elements of my building model not appearing at the right height within a referenced file. We have a particular file set up within the office where the model is located within one file and then referenced into another file to create drawing sheets. The main model file is set up using stories within the design layers. When the file is then referenced the second file is unable to locate some stories (but not all). I have manually introduced stories to the second file to match, but this still doesn't work. Can anyone help?
  2. Hi, Could anyone tell me the best way to export from Vectorworks and import to MicroStation? I would like to keep all 3D elements in tact, for MicroStation to recognise walls, slabs etc. When exporting to DWG/DFX this information seems to be lost... Is it possible to retain all the information as seen in Vectorworks?
  3. I have figured it out!! The tools were set up in the wrong location in the workspace which must have confused VW. I simply went to >tools >workspaces >edit current workspace , and put the following tools, 'place camera match object' and 'place reference' under the 'view' tab (where it is shown in all the tutorials). This seemed to fix the problem. Hope that helps anyone who may be having the same problem!
  4. Michael, Thank you for the reply. It is the Camera Match Reference I am having trouble with, it wont let me place it into the design layer...
  5. Hi, I'm hoping someone may be able to help... I am unable to 'place reference' in the design layer for use with the camera match tool. It comes up with a dialog box 'The camera match object must be placed within the annotation space of a Sheet Layer Viewport', all the tutorials suggest placing the reference in the design layer before setting up the image in the annotations layer. Where am I going wrong?
