  1. Thanks Peter. Yes, the checkbox is checked, so that is not the cause. This seems so fundamental that there must be a simple answer.
  2. Thanks Pete, but yes, the box is checked. If I draw a rectangle the pattern of the class shows. If I draw an un-styled wall under the same class, the pattern does not show. Any help would be appreciated.
  3. I must be missing something here. I create a class to give my new walls a pattern. I draw an unstyled wall in that class and there is no pattern. Even though I have patterns set in my classes, all of my walls are void of any pattern. VW11 handled this fine. What am I doing wrong?
  4. Looks like I am a reluctant new member of this club. This is a total waste of time to have to re-arrange everything again and again. NNA please fix this!! OS10.4.5, VW12.0.1, G5 Dual 2.3
  5. It seems that with each release of VW, the door and window PIO's change. How well does Windoor integrate with VW version changes? Does one need to buy a new version of Windoor with each change in VW version? If this is true, then how quickly are those new versions of Windoor available? I am a bit concerned about relying on a third party for what I would consider a core function of VW.
  6. Thanks Dave. I hope that you and the other NNA staff will put together a FAQ to address how VW and RW are affected by the various components of a computer. (Katie said that you might) :-).
  7. Could you translate this for me. What does this mean?
  8. Please keep in mind that not everyone is aware of the Knowledgebase. I did not know of it until perhaps six months ago.
  9. I think that NNA needs to create a topic in the FAQ section of this board to address the issue of how computer components affect the performance of NNA software. This topic, of how the various computer components affect VW, is a common one. All too often the answers are guesses from users and not facts from NNA software engineers. The FAQ should address how CPU speed, number of CPU's, RAM, Video Cards, and Hard Drives affect the performance of Vectorworks and Renderworks. This would help users in making educated computer purchases and upgrades.

  11. Sorry about the blank post. Clearly I need to adjust to this new forum software, (of which I do not care for as of yet). In reply to your question; I would assume that the circles are areas to affix one's seal. All seals for architects and engineers that I have seen are round.
  12. I too would like to know.
  13. The old board allowed us to see the first few lines of the post. This helped me understand the nature of the post when looking at the Active Topics list. This new software now depends upon the poster giving a well defined and descriptive title to the topic. Is there a way to go back to the previous style of displaying a portion of the message?
  14. Thanks guys, good info, clear as mud. I will give your advice a try. It is about time that I use this tool as it is intended.
  15. Peter, how about sharing with us how you got it to work :-).
  16. I have always thought the OIP to be slow, still do. Upgrading to a faster computer did improve the OIP response. So I guess the answer is yes, a faster CPU is better. I have close to the top of the line in Macs and the OIP still lags. I was so hoping that NNA could speed up the response of the OIP.
  17. This Macworld article might be helpful to some. It outlines steps to take when an application crashes under OSX. http://www.macworld.com/2006/04/features/firstaidcrash/index.php
  18. Darn, I guess I will have to find something else to occupy my time, like file my taxes :-),
  19. I use Ed's method. But I have run into some problems. More than once I have found myself working on version 3.1 when the latest file is 3.2. If VW crashes, the current file will not display in the recent files list. So I found myself relaunching VW and choosing what I thought was the latest file from the list. Now I rarely use the list. I use Open file and go the the Finder to be sure that I am opening the latest version of the project.

Then AEC Objects from Polyline>Space. Now you have all of your rooms populated with Space objects.
  23. quote: Originally posted by Jeffe': I doubt it is a hardware compatibility issue. I dont have any other problems, really - runs quite well. The problem does show up on the Windows machine we have running 12.01 as well. I have not tried it on a PPC-based mac. The Knowledgebase article clearly says that your muntin failure is to be expected on the Intel Mac. Are you sure that you are having the same problem on a Windows machine?
