    Roof

You can draw a poly over the bay and form a roof from that. Make the "back" side of the roof a gable and you should get what you are looking for.
  2. One of the best investments I have made is to buy Diskwarrior. Apple's Disk Utility is OK, but Diskwarrior can fix things that DU cannot. Your problem might be file related. But if I were you, I would run Diskwarrior to make sure that everything is OK on that level.
  3. I believe that the display driver is a part of the OS. I had video issues under 10.4.2 which were resolved with 10.4.3. I was told by apple that the video driver had been updated in that OS release.
  4. Jeffe', Can't help but notice that your signature says "Intel Imac". I believe that NNA warned us that VW may not be fully compatible with this hardware. Have you replicated your problem on a pre-Intel machine?
  5. Dear Dave, Thank you for your refreshing honesty. It is always nice to know that our voices are heard and that changes are on the horizon. Those options have been long asked for, thank you. I would hope that you could find a way to allow panel configurations beyond 4. Looks like you have a budding relationship with Peter :-)
  6. What platform are you guys using?
  7. I find that I am increasingly using door systems of 4 or more panels in both accordion and sliding. Having this ability in VW would be one less thing to worry about.
  8. The old sliding door tool could do this. But I too cannot see how to get more than two panels with the current tool set. Aarrgh!
  9. Go to Vectordepot. There is a plug-in there which places the date and file name on the drawing and updates at each printing.
  10. When you click on your door or window, the OIP should say window in wall. If it just says window, or door then it has not inserted into the wall.

I have to number each sheet myself and click print again and again for each sheet. Could you share with us excactly what you are using and with what proceedures? TIA.
  12. Do a search on this board. There are many threads that should answer all your questions. (Search button is at upper right).
  13. Clois, What exactly are you trying to do? I use this tool often, and have no problem with it, except for accidentally resizing my entire drawing!!
  14. Clois, I ran into big problems when I accidentally reduced my entire drawing using VWA11.5. I would suggest doing this on a copy and not on your original file. An alternate method would be to simply scale the drawing during printing. You can do this in page setup. Or you can print to PDF at full size. When you print the PDF you can set your page size for whatever you like and Acrobat will resize to fit the page.
  15. I have always thought of Katie as an Angel.
  16. I agree with Mac. I use both print and electronic. I have missed the printed manual and was not aware that it was an option. I assumed that I would receive a paper manual as always when I ordered the upgrade. I would prefer that this option be made available at the time of upgrade. That way, those such as David, may opt out. I, on the other hand, would elect to have the manual.
  17. Are you sure that you are getting one page with half the image and not two or more pages with each page containing parts of the image?

Here is a review by Architosh: http://www.architosh.com/features/2005/reviews/vector11.5/vector11-5_1.html kklik, Make your own conclusions. I don't know about how stable Windows is. My comments are based upon my experience with OSX.
  19. 11.5 is a free upgrade. So, as you see, it has not "passed you by". I own VW12, but have not implemented it yet.
  20. You have several options. Convert to lines instead of to polygons will speed things up. Prior to rendering, turn off items which will not be seen. If you are rendering elevations, then turn off furniture, fixtures, interior walls, etc. This is easily done with saved views. Simply turn off those classes for that view. Hatches will slow things down too.
  21. You can alwasy draw polys onto your elevation. Only you can decide what is fast enough. Try doing a hidden line rendering with lines and one with polys and time them. Then you can see the difference.
  22. No "cast iron guarantees". I am running 10.4.5 with VWA11.5.1 on a Dual G5. The computer is on all day and put to sleep at night. On the weekend I usually restart just for good measure. In other words, OSX is rock solid and so is VW. Other programs may quit on me but I cannot remember the last time that VW did. I believe that the "other chatter" that you refer to is for VW12. HIstorically that chatter will die down with the release of 12.5.1.
  23. Thanks for the update. Glad that everything worked out.
  24. I agree. I have two projects right now that have butt-joint glass corner windows. Also another request: Bifold and sliding doors with multiple panels beyond what is currently offered. I often use Nana Wall type doors. These are sliders or bifolds that may have an opening of 20 to 30 feet. They will have 6, 8, 10, or more panels. Long ago and far away, NNA had a sliding door plugin that at least supported 4 panels and not the current two panels.
