    Service Pack 1 seems to fix this problem.

    unfortunately I was not so lucky with that at solution. Time to roll back my OS.

    I am using VW2019 on Mac OS Mojave and when I try to add text to my drawing I get the never ending beach ball and eventually have to force quit. I tried a brand new file and got the same results. I also tried to open my drawing in VW2018 and got the same results.
